Dr. Bao Quoc Pham, OD

I would not recommend this place. I am in network with their practice, and first they falsely quoted me a very high price for a routine eye exam. After spending 30 minutes going back and forth, they "realized" their error and reduced it to the standard amount. After that, they quoted $150 for a routine contact lens exam, which originally they had said was included for free with my insurance. Lens crafters charges $60 for the same contact lenses exam for reference. After spending 45 minutes on insurance issues, I was unable to even get the eye exam. Plenty of other options in chi.

Took them over 4 months for my eyeglass lenses to come in. I received a text this week that they had "just come in." Drive an hour and a half to pick them up as I have since moved in that time to find the new lenses are completely blurry. I let them know I'll just keep my lenses I already have and take a refund because I don't live anywhere near them anymore and don't want to "try them out." They refused to refund me and tried to say they did call me when they came in, when they never did, and I showed them the text they sent as proof that they stated they "just came in." Only then did they offer to refund me $50 of the over $200 I spent. They had me wait 30 minutes to get my eyes rechecked and tried the prescription they gave me and it was still completely blurry. I waiting around in the store to see if my eyes would adjust and they never did and I couldn't risk leaving the new lenses in my frames when it would be another 3 hour trip for me to come back to have them fix it so I let… them know they don't work.

Worst customer service ever. No one greets you when you enter is like you never when in. The staff looks bored like they really hate their jobs and to top it all off they work very slow. I order contacts and I been waiting for weeks for them to call me and nothing. When I call them for my status they put on hold for an hour. Don't recommend this at all.

I had a very bad experience at this location. The doctor tried two different prescriptions for me, and neither one was very good. So I did not want to purchase, I wanted to try another prescription. The manager said that if I wanted to try another prescription, I had to pay for another exam. The doctor gave me the impression that I could not get better correction; he was very pushy and tried to discourage me from trying more prescriptions. So I felt trapped and accepted the contacts (this, I should not have done. I felt very helpless. I should have walked away.) But then, when my spouse went to pick them up, they gave me the wrong prescription! At this point, I lost trust and wanted to go somewhere else. So, I asked for a refund on the lenses. The lenses were unopened and unused. They said they would give me the other set of lenses, but would not give me a refund. In the end I had to go to another doctor, pay out of pocket for another exam, and pay out of pocket for contact lenses… This was very expensive.

Very poor front desk customer service. Office is completely unorganized. I came here last month for my eye glasses and contact appointment for updated prescription. They gave me an old glasses prescription instead of the new one from my appointment. I came back to the office to get the correct updated prescription and they told me the doctor had never input into the computer. Instead of receiving an apology or letting me know they would take care of it , the blonde woman at the front desk gave me an attitude the entire time. I waited for multiple appointments before they could have the correct prescription printed. If the office had shown any compassion or customer service I wouldn't have been as frustrated. I won't be returning to this office.

I write this review with disappointment. Dr. Pham suggested that - for a pair of eyeglasses which I would be wearing *all* the time, to have the blue-light blocking coating since I work in front of a computer. I accepted the advice of the doctor, and opted for the $90 more option to do so. In the past year after continuously wearing these eyeglasses, I noticed that I was not sleeping well as before, and also felt increasingly lethargic. It was only after conducting an eye-exam with a different doctor did I discover that it was an *absolute mistake* to wear blue-blocking lenses all the time. More egregious is the fact that this is common knowledge - that no one should be wearing blue-blocking all the time - it disrupts circadian rhythms and moods. It is difficult for me to presume that Dr. Pham did not know about this. I am saddened to think that Dr. Pham - who so casually asserted that the glasses he prescribed are fine to wear all the time - did so to go after putting an extra… charge on my eyeglasses. Greed is a terrible vice, doctor.

Dr Bao Pham is rude and condescending. When he returned a call from an on call message (one hour later) he blamed the answering service for the delay. He talked over me and didn't listen. He asked "what do you want me to do about it?" We're closed until Monday. Horrible experience, no empathy. Sounded like he was annoyed that she had to return a call after hours even though he was on call. Never had a Dr be so uncaring. He chuckled when I asked a question- "I said, what do you want me to do about the contact stuck in your eye. Just wait til it works itself out." What an attitude

I was looking for a local eye exam and fount this on a website. I booked an appointment and went I waited 5 min in the front area had a 10-20 min exam and the Doctor told me I needed some glasses to fix my issues, recommended me eye drops and told me to sit in reception area for payment on exam n lenses. I thought my insurance covered everything but they told me I need to pay in total 197$ 10$ for exam then 160$ for lenses and Then 23$ for the recommended eye drops then needed to purchase frames which their lowest frames was 300 plus Dollars in total i was advised to spend 197$ and to bring my own frames. i felt forced to pay so i paid and left immediately after i went for a second opinion and fount a place where it was only 80$ for exam and lenses and they gave me free eye drops . and was advised to get a refund from eyes on second. so i called a few times and was told they would get back to me about this on Monday July 1st i did not get no calls so i reached out the next day and they… told me to speak to owner via email and she was not in after i was told on Monday it would get resolved. i don't want no store credit. i just want the refund for the lenses the exam and eye drops ill pay for. have any issues please contact me directly.

This place is the worst. The spam call you for scheduled appointments. Even after you have confirmed the appointment they will call you again and text to ask you to confirm again. And if you don't confirm again.. they just cancel your appointment and give it away. When you call them they place you on hold for a very long time. And if you call to ask for your records to be transfered to another office.. they tell you it's a 2 week wait time. And they just don't do it. You will have to hound them to get it. I don't recommend every going to this place if you value your time.

I never write reviews, but honestly, I'm so over the horrible mannerisms here and I've completely lost it on the phone, so I feel like I need to warn anyone considering this optometrist. I completely agree with the below low reviews of this optometrist office. I didn't take in the warnings and continued going here for 2 years, and it was my mistake. The staff are rude, when I called I was asked to be put on hold, which okay fine, I waited on hold for 15+ minutes. Then another staff, a man, took me off of hold and asked what I wanted that they're so busy and essentially didn't have time for my inquiry about a pair of glasses I paid in full before, and had ZERO updates on once they reopened. He took my name and number and said he'd call me first thing the next morning when they opened. I never got that call. This time, I wanted my glasses that were ready to be shipped to me for $8--whatever, I gave them my credit card info then (shame on me), inquired about another pair of glasses that I… wanted and asked if they still had that style and if I could pay with my FSA card. She told me she would call me back after checking if they had it, and when she did and confirmed the details and asked for my FSA card, I thought it was all processed. Come to figure out, she had charged my credit card. I was able to get it reimbursed, but it could've easily been avoided if she had processed the correct card. When I called to ask what happened, she defiantly said she only wrote down ONE CARD NUMBER AND THAT'S ALL THEY HAD ON MY FILE, and that I "never gave them another card", and that they "take photos of everything", and there is nothing about my other card number. I'm sorry, but instead of apologizing for the mix up, to insist that I was wrong and not take half the fault is a big turn off. Shame on me for ordering another pair of glasses, now I have to wait until they are received then I can cut off further contact with this office. I highly DO NOT recommend this place, even if you could look past the rudeness, just FYI their prices are insanely more expensive than a lens crafters, and the service is not only horrible, but awfully slow as well. I was just going for the convenience since I used to live nearby. I've since moved and will be taking my business elsewhere.
