Dr. Barbara Ann Baker, MD

She was extremely thorough and made me feel very comfortable. As she did each test she explained what she was doing and looking for.

Dr. Baker knows hypothyroidism indide and out. She doesn't just go by your lab numbers but also how you are feeling. She is the best endocrinologist I have had and I have been through several, trying to get a correct diagnosis and treatmeni. I thank God for Dr. Baker and her staff.

Dr. Baker, is very thorough. Very nice. She's organized. She's working with me on thyroid issues. I waited months for the first appt. I believe in going into any doctors appts with notes. And taking notes. That way time isn't wasted trying to remember what to ask. I've had doctors tell me they appreciate that.

Though I only saw Dr Baker a few times (we moved out of state), I was very pleased with her. She was very knowledgeable about my uncommon syndrome and was respectful about my knowledge. She was pleasant without being "too sweetsy" . I definitely would recommend her.

Poor bedside manner... condescending!

Dr. Baker seemed nice, but when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer she had her nurse call me! When I called back to ask questions, she seemed annoyed on the phone. This was just the beginning of months of bad care... When I transferred to a different endocrinologist it was an incredible difference. Please do not go to this woman if you can help it. She has no empathy for patients.

I was referred to Dr Baker by my Ob/Gyn during my second pregnancy because of a hypothyroidism .Since then, I am seeing her at least twice a year for thyroid gland checkups.over the last 5 years, I am always impressed by the care she gives me, she addressed with me other health issues,gave me a second opinion about health matter(lactation, weight...).She is a doctor that listens to your concerns carefully and answers all of your questions with a logical reasoning.I always leave her office satisfied.Also,she explains what tests she is ordering and the reason she is ordering those specific tests and shares her plans of follow ups. Also,I always receive a letter two days after my visit with my results and the follow up plan .i highly recommend her.

Dr. Baker has been treating me for 11 yrs. She is very thorough with her exam and blood tests. Follow up letter received within few days.
