Dr. Barbara Lynn Bell, MD

I had come in for my appointment on time. Waited about 30-35 min to get called back. When Dr. Bell came into the room I was put in she said "We only have about 15 min so I can't do your check up because I have another patient waiting for me." She was very unfriendly when speaking with me. Made me feel as if I wasn't important. I wasn't even there for a full 15 min with her and she said we were done. I'm a little confused as to how that's even called a check up but I refuse to go back if that's how my "check-ups" are going to go. Very rude and condescending. Wouldn't reccomend.

I've been seeing Dr. Bell for several years now and find her to be a great physician. She listens to my concerns, has always prescribed effective medications or appropriate referrals. My annual check ups focus on my entire well being and she brings up issues I need to be concerned about as I age. She doesn't waste my or her time on chit chat but neither pushes me out the door if there is more to discuss. I highly recommend Dr. Bell.

I read the one star reviews and I now agree with all of them! but had no choice since it was a last minute appt. she tells you what’s wrong with her in a way that feels invalidating. I told her I have a fever, she tells me she has a sore throat. I tell her an issue that has been going on for a while and she tells me it’s been worse for her. It was clear to me that the appt wasn’t going well and I walked out without further evaluation. I’ve never done that. I’ve seen someone else at same organization different office and she was great.

I went in for a physical. Listened to my heart and checked my reflexes--that's it. She did not give me time to pursue questions I had, and the 1 issue about excessive pain she chalked up to "getting old" (apparently one can "get old" in a matter of months.) She spent most of the appt. talking about how great her own exercise plan is (I'm a former athlete). The office had lost all my records from the previous year. Waste of my yearly physical. My blood work is off and she hasn't called

Barbara is the worst doctor that I have seen in my life. Not only was she impatient during my visit, she misdiagnosed me (without even taken a look at the affected area) and prescribed a $400+ medicine that my insurance would not cover. When asked to prescribe an alternative that would be covered by my insurance, she refused and said it was too bad that my insurance was reluctant to treat my illness. Having double about Barbara’s medical expertise, I consulted specialist two days later. The specialist inspected the affected area and confirmed that I was fine and was misdiagnosed. Barbara is useless and unfit to be a doctor.

Dr. Bell is extremely caring, respectful,and attentive. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. Although I was reluctant because I was losing my insurance, she insisted I follow up with a biopsy of my lymph node, which lead to an early diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Simply put, Dr. Bell saved my life!

Very nice doctor. Shared own personal experiences with me and put my mind at ease. Very easy to talk to and not rushed at all.
