Dr. Barbara Lee Benton, MD

I have been impressed from day 1 with Dr Benton. She listens and gives insightful feedback as well as being an expert in medication. I have never worked with a psychiatrist that did therapy. She us one of a kind.

I have never has a better experience with any doctor in my life. Dr. Benton saved my life. Most people think that Psychiatrists are just med pushers and don't get to the heart of the issues but she does. She will go the extra mile for you. You get and actual therapy session not just a medication check. She is easy to open up to and makes you feel comfortable. Great sense of humor as well and is not afraid to use some of her own personal information to show trust. I am greatfull every time I leave her office knowing she has my back.

I did TMS with Dr Benton at her office. It is a safe, non medication treatment for my depression. I am off all medications and I would sell my house to have TMS treatment.

Dr. Benton is simply the best psychiatrist I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. She is brilliant, incisive, empathetic, and powerfully effective in helping me not only understand my condition, but patient in allowing me to help myself gain a deeper knowledge of its effects on me. In short, I owe her my life.

Dr Benton has helped me cope with depression and difficulty with my husband. She is a good listener and simplified my medicine.

I had a very comfortable initial meeting with Dr Benton, she gave me plenty of time and I had a good response to the treatments she recommended. I have referred others to her.

Dr Benton has always had my best interest in mind. Her initial appointment was over an hour long and her follow-ups are 1/2 hr. She is compassionate and knowledgable. I never have to wait long.

Dr. Benton is an excellent doctor if you want a psychiatrist who listens to and respects her patients, and at the same time is firm and capable in her professional knowledge of what is best for her patient. She has a great sense of humor and I am very comfortable to talk to her about my psychological health.

If you want to be helped she's your Doc. But be prepared for some truth. She has a great personality and really gets to the issue so the healing can begin.

Dr.Benton was my doctor for several years and was the best psychiatrist that I have ever had (and I have had quite a few) I highly recommend her.
