Dr. Barbara L Billings

Dr. Billings is a life long resident of Seattle and Federal Way. She has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years, and looks forward to another 25 years. The Federal Way Mirror voted her as one of the three top dentists in the area, and she was chosen by a group of elite peers to be included in the 2004-2005 edition of The Best Dentists in America.
Dr Billings graduated from the University of Washington with a magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and chemistry, and in 1979 with a DDS degree.  She is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington Dental Association, and the King County Dental Society.
Her calm demeanor, skill, scholarship and commitment, enjoyment and genuine concern for her patients have earned Dr Billings recognition as a leader in her chosen profession.   It is very important for the dental health of her patients that she keeps current with technology and new dental techniques.  She is constantly increasing her knowledge, routinely …attends classes, and researches the latest advances in equipment, materials and techniques.  Additionally, she is a member of Premier Study Club, American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry Study Club, and is a graduate of the prestigious Peter Dawson institute on occlusion and function.
Dr Billings and her husband enjoy travel, kayaking, gardening, cooking together, and the fine and performing arts (especially opera).

Our accomplished and welcoming administrative staff specialize in our patient’s treatment coordination. They greet you when you arrive, alert the team to your arrival, insure that the reception area is orderly with tea, water, and magazines. Doreen is our scheduling and treatment coordinator.  She keeps the office running smoothly, and does an excellent job handling our business and professional matters. Doreen provides the courtesy of a reminder call 24-48 hours prior to patient’s upcoming appointments, and sends cards once a month in advance to remind you of your next scheduled continuing care visit.  Doreen diligently communicates patient needs to the doctor to assist in   personalized patient care.  As the heart  of our office, Doreen coordinates scheduling, and manages “intra” and “inter” office communications
Lois is our patient insurance specialist and account/new patient treatment coordinator. She helps explain any areas of treatment that might be confusing, and assists the patient decide what treatment they want to pursue.  Lois provides efficient and knowledgeable service regarding insurance and financial arrangements.  She discusses HIPPA (privacy) regulations.  Lois has a background in dental assisting that provides her with excellent knowledge of a patient’s treatment planning. 
Our  Registered Dental Hygienist, Nick is highly skilled in diagnostics and early treatment of periodontal disease.  He takes pride in making your visit not only thorough, but enjoyable as well. Whether you simply need a routine cleaning or an advanced deep pocket cleaning(scaling and root planing), he will help you maintain your dental health and smile.  Nick offers tips, techniques and the tools you need to maintain your at-home dental care routine.  He will keep track of patients’ dental needs and their lives, and value the relationships with patients over the years.  Nick is a members of the Washington State Dental Hygiene Accociation, keep up his technological advances, and a
