Not honest! Replaced a crown that did not need replacing & kept the old gold crown. The dental assistant does the impression & fitting the crown. For what she charges, you would think she would do the work herself. Oh yes, that crown had to be replaced later by another dentist.

First, they charged me for a copay they weren't supposed to and refused to give me a refund, making excuses for their accounting system. Then the hygienist hurt my daughter's gums so badly she had bruises the day after, and the dentist blamed my daughter for being anxious and in pain, saying she wouldn't treat her anymore. I wouldn't want a dentist who doesn't want to take responsibility working on her anyway! A shameful practice claiming to be 'gentle' when they're just mediocre and disorganized to say the least.

I did a search for emergency dental care for low income because I wasn't prepared for the emergency. The first dentist name was Dr. Bowman. I went, signed in, was told by reception that I have to pay the $125 fee before I see the dentist and additional fees or payments would be worked out later. I get in, get xrayed, Dr. Bowman comes in and within 5 minutes was referring me to a "more affordable for my needs" clinic. I asked how she knew I couldn't afford her care and she said it was going to be very costly and "going by where I work I wouldn't be able to afford". I broke down in tears right there and she tried to be understanding that this kind of dental problem can be hard. It wasn't the dental issue that was hard. She posts this dog rescue info about herself on her office page to lure passionate people in I guess because the person I thought would do that for precious dogs must be decent. Well she took my $125 to xray and insult me and send me to someone else. The worse… part is she thinks she did me a favor, some good. What's happening to humanity?

Overzealous office. Was told that two visits in a row that I had several cavities; this is after years of no problems. I skipped their advice the second time and went to another dentist, but somehow those cavities had disappeared in the meanwhile. This happened to a friend of mine as well. I don't know if they're crooked or just overzealous, but beware.

Dr. Barbara Bowman-Hensley and her entire staff are incredibly wonderful and caring staff!! I will recommend her to everyone!
