Excellent, caring, smart doctor

Dr. Brotine misdiagnosed my problem and when I went back a second time was not very concerned that she had wasted my time and money. Steer clear of this quack

My husband and I have both been seeing Dr. Brotine for a number of years. She is kind, listens to her patients, and is wonderful when you need unusual attention. She is also knowledgeable and very thorough.I changed to her when another doctor in the same building wanted to give me a medication without doing a test I thought I needed first. Dr. Brotine immediately ordered the test, and when the results came back, she said I did not need the medication! I see a couple of people have said she is "rude". I cannot imagine what they did to elicit this! She is simply businesslike and wants her questions answered.

Dr. Brotine has only been my primary physician since May. My first visit with her lasted two hours; her being the thorough, efficient doctor that she is. All of my encounters with her office staff have been no less than courteous, helpful, efficient and always surprisingly more than timely. She is a wonderful, insightful physician who cares. I am so glad that I chose her as my new physician. God bless her and her staff who are always trying so hard to do the right thing.

because i didnt have insurance this dr. didnt give me the attention i deserved. she likes to throw pills at her patients

If you don't mind being stuffed in a claustrophobic over crowded office with sick people only to wait like that every time for nearly an hour, than this may be the place for you. However, I was also misdiagnosed and treated rudely. Also when I was hospitalized, Dr. Brotine tried to administer drugs more than once to me that I was allergic to and also wearing a warning wristband for. There are much better doctors in the area,

I cannot believe that someone would diss Dr. Brotine as being "rude" -- no other doctor I have ever used willingly spends as much time with me to be completely thorough. This is Skokie IL, not Ft. Myers: did this person even rate the right doctor? Make an appointment, come on time, respect the office staff and you'll never be waiting an hour and a half.

When I was worried that I had a problem she said "Oh I know how you are" meaning I am a hypochondriac. Another time I had to wait an hour and a half and I heard my doctor droning on and on to another patient who seemed bored.
