Summary
Dr. Harrison became a physician in 2000, graduating from University of Utah with a Medical Doctorate (she has the lambskin to prove it too). She then went on to finish a family medicine residency at St. Elizabeth's in Edgewood and Covington, Kentucky. She passed her board examination for family medicine on her wedding anniversary, 2003. Maybe that was her impetus to do an Obstetrical Fellowship at St. Elizabeth's before traveling to Alaska to practice medicine in 2004.
In May 2009, Dr. Harrison and her husband were awarded the coveted "Champions for Children" award for coaching Science Olympiad students at Teeland Middle School in Wasilla.
In her spare time Dr. Harrison likes to spend time with her husband and two teenage children, hiking, kayaking, and exploring Alaska. She will also knit when given a chance or just float away while reading a good book.
