Doesn’t take time to actually listen to patient’s concerns. Spends very little time with patient. Just wants to throw more meds at you or up the doses without considering other viable options. Appointments often get cancelled and she’s usually booked out for 6 months or more so you end up seeing a fellow or resident. Too much time between follow up appointments to begin with. Frustrating!

I started as a neurology patient with Dr. Jobst in Lebanon. She eventually diagnosed me with an atypical form of epilepsy, and started me on a drug to control my seizures. Over time, as my seizures were not controlled, she just upped the dose. I still have occasional seizures, and the side effects of the medicine she put me on are debilitating. She expresses no interest in hearing my experience, and brushes all of my concerns off. I began seeing her in Manchester once I moved, and her office staff there is very rude. I recently ran into situations where I required records (to move to another neurologist) and a note (for an employer) from her office, and they provided me with neither. They cannot schedule me to see her anytime soon, and are unwilling to help me transition to another provider by providing either records or a referral. Meanwhile I'm stuck suffering the ill effects of a medication I may not need and without any other options until this office decides I'm worth their time… again. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this practice at all costs.

Dr Jobst found something on my MRI that another doc missed. She was caring and patient and thorough in explaining my results. She definitely helped me deal with the diagnosis, and I'm grateful she found the problem.

There are some doctors who are very bright but spend very little time with a patient. They talk more than they listen. Dr. Jobst is one of them.
