Summary

Barbara Kilian, MD joined the CityHealth team in 2016 as a supervising physician and am currently the Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Killian is a board certified Emergency Physician, also working in primary care, opiate addiction, and LGBTQI services. 

As the CMO of CityHealth her primary focus is working with teams to collaboratively empower patients in their health care journey, understanding the values and priorities of all patients, and to support progressive and innovative approaches to get patients the best health care possible

Having lived and worked in both the Bay Area and nearby rural county of Mendocino, in ER’s and clinics, Dr. Killian has seen the struggles that everyone experiences in health care, regardless of location. She utilizes this experience to help create health care systems and ideas that work with patients to get what they need in our current health care systems.  She loves seeing patients thrive in collaboration with their health care providers.

Dr. Killian graduated from the University of Texas HSC- San Antonio medical school, and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt in Manhattan and her fellowship at the same institution in conjunction with Teacher’s College at Columbia University.  She is currently a student at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business’s Leadership program.
