Dr. Barbara Jean Kircher, MD

I went to her because I was referred by my primary dr, since my former cardiologist had moved from the area. I had been diagnosed as having had a heart attack in 2011. I worked very hard at changing my diet and habits to improve my health without medications. I did a lot of organic vegetable juicing, got more exercise, including yoga. Totally changed my lifestyle. I also had been a caretaker for my husband for 6 years prior to his passing. I was unable to focus on my own health during those years. She told me I did not fit the profile of a person having a heart attack. Then why did I feel so totally exhausted after the event that changed my life, just days before my husband died?

She spent exactly 5 minutes in my room before I was told a needed stents. She came in without any greeting and said “you realize you’re a diabetic”, which I AM NOT. She also prescribed the wrong medication for my illness, I called her office Twice, she NEVER returned my call. Luckily I have switched Cardiologists. And advise anyone if she is suggested to you, change doctors.change

My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Kircher for a stress test for a surgery clearance, I was a new patient, as she was asking me questions about the types of medication I was on, she asked about cholesterol medication, I told her I don't take that type of medication, she argued with me for 5 minutes, turns out she was looking at someone else's chart. She had the nerve to call me hefty, yes I am overweight, but hefty is a trash bag, she could have said fat, obese etc. She is just a rude women, bad bedside manner!!!!!

Speaks at you not to you. Don’t listen to the patients comes off very uncaring

My primary doctor reffered me to her to follow up on a possible serious condition. Her bedside manor was awful. From the moment she walked into the exam room, she treated me as if I was wasting her time. Spent more time berating my referring doctor then talking about my condition. At one point, she left the examining room to call the doctor, while doing so, I could hear her reprimanding the receptionist over the phone and insulting the doctor. I left her office feeling mortified, with no more answers then I walked in with. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone.

Judgmental, rude, no bedside manor

Accurate, professional, and attentive. She sincerely cared about my extensive condition and is committed to my recovery. Out of the four other doctors I have had consultations with, Dr. Kircher is the very best.

Dr. Kircher did not seem very interested in my case. She did write an evaluation to Cigna without asking me questions on my condition as I was a new patient from another state. At the office she stated that I needed Cardiac Rehab before ever thinking of returning to work. To Cigna she wrote the opposite and that I could stand for 2.5 hours. The report she wrote to Cigna was false. I cannot even stand long enough to make a simple meal let alone 2.5 hours. I will not be returning to this Doctor. She also has stated to me that when I have another heart attack that she would not advise further treatment or operations on my heart. Who needs a doctor that is willing to let you die without trying to save you and gives false reports to insurance agency.

Dr Kircher is taking over for my cardiologist. Her bedside manner is dreadful. While I dont expect to be coddled, I expect to be a partner in my healthcare and to have my considerations taken seriously.Dr was rude, disinterested and not listening. A simple handshake when introducing herself would have prevented this review. Her attitude was "Youre fat and lazy" and she completely dismissed the amount of effort it takes to chase after 2 small kids will dealing with 2 serious conditions. While a treadmill might help, I kind of think going up and down a flight of stairs 20+ times a day would qualify as active movement. I am actively searching for another cardologist. I will not see her again.
