Dr. Barbara R Lewis

I went to Dr Lewis and was instantly put at ease. It was near painless. And I would highly recommend her.

I tried calling to schedule an appointment, but I was hung up multiple times, by Norma because I have state insurance.

I went to her to have a cavity filled, and she initially left a gap in my front teeth, which she only fixed after I came back and told her I was unhappy. Although I think she was sincerely trying to do a good job, this experience left me with the belief that as nice a person as she is, she is just not a good dentist. A good dentist would ensure that the hygienist is rinsing properly (she didn't; the hygienist was horrible). A good dentist would not have scratched up my front teeth (another thing I have to have fixed). A good dentist would have warned me ahead of time that it might look different, would have checked to make sure that I was okay with how it looked, and would have made sure I did not walk out of her office unhappy. She did not completely fix it either -- I can't floss between those teeth without the floss getting shredded, and it is uncomfortable. I understand that I might have caught her on a bad day, but... dental work is kind of a permanent thing. If you're going to… make these kinds of mistakes, you're in the wrong line of work. Now I'm worried about how much of what she did was permanent, and how much it will cost me to have it fixed.
