Dr. Barbara Ann Morris

Dr. Barbara Morris genuinely cares about her patients.

In the years Dr. Morris served my husband and I while she provided care at Wind Crest Medical center, she was excellent. She helped both of us make the necessary adjustments and decisions as Bernie's multiple sclerosis robbed him of mobility and cognitive ability and was always available to listen to our concerns and advocate for the treatment modalities that enhanced his quality of life in our adjustment to living in a retirement community and decreased independence. I applaud her decision to support her patient's right to control the end stages of his life. Without the memory of her guidance and understanding I might not have been able to support Bernie's decision to refuse a feeding tube and other end stage treatments which might have prolonged his life for a few months but cost him his dignity and his decision making possibilities regarding the quality of his time left . I am sorry that some administration officials with no idea of how seniors need someone life Barbara… Morris to listen to their wishes and needs. I hope they never get in a situation where someone sitting at a desk far away dictates how much pain they should suffer and how much distress they should cause for their loved ones and care takers.
