Dr. Barbara Heintz Savader, MD

I just experienced a high level of stress due to this docs overly cautious (not sure what to call it) approach. During a call back resulting from an annual mammogram last spring she couldn't really find anything, yet said "I have a gut feeling." Come back in six months. I did. After two more scans she came in and simply said, "Sorry I put you through that." What?! I'm healthy. No explanation. She didn't even enter the room where I was sitting. I'm just not sure what to think about the experience and really don't ever want to go back to IU to see her for another annual mammogram.

EXCELLENT SKILLED PHYSICIAN, KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, COMPASSIONATE, I HAVE REQUESTED HER EACH TIME FOR A YEARLY BREAST MAMMOGRAM FOR YEARS ETC. I WISH THERE WERE MORE INDIVIDUALS IN THE MEDICAL FIELD LIKE HER !! THIS PARTICULAR FACILITY IS FORTUNATE TO HAVE SUCH A GIFTED PHYSICIAN ON THEIR STAFF!

Dr. Savader may not be a hand-holder, but she is a life-saver! Her skill allowed me to be diagnosed early, significantly improving my chances for cure. I found her to be compassionate, concerned, and extremely capable. What some consider "arrogance" seems to me to be confidence. I would send each and every woman I care about to Dr. Savader without question! Her entire staff is also wonderful. Thanks, Charlotte, Meg, Katrina, and all of you who work so hard to help others!

This woman should take a close look at how she treats people. Rude, arrogant, and impatient. There are far too many better, more caring physicians out there to subject yourself to an appointment with Barbara Savader.

She is direct and to the point which I really respect, while being compassionate and caring. She listens to what the patient (me) has to say about my body and how I feel. I would not want anyone else caring for me in this situation.

I seriously don't understand any negative review...this woman has been such a shining light during my ordeal. She always makes time to get ms in if I have a need, she spends as much time as I want and even explains what I'm seeing on the screen. She has personally called me with the results of every culture, and she knows my whole family by name.Dr Savader has easily become the best doctor I've ever had and I couldn't be more thankful for her help and support!

Dr. Savader is just plain rude. I have seen her twice. Both times she was not only cold and impatient with me, but she huffed at and belittled her staff. She is headed for a lawsuit if she ever makes a mistake because she is so completely unprofessional and rude.

Dr. Savader has a cold bedside manner and very little patience for listening to her patients. She acts hurried during procedures and refused my oncologist's specific request for the type of biopsy he wanted. After I told her (again) that the biopsy she just took was not what was ordered, she hastily recognized her arrogant mistake and had to do a second biopsy on me. Totally callous about my having cancer. This woman needs to stick with talking to computer screens and not people!
