Dr. Barbara Marge Segal, MD

Dr. Segal is the kind of doctor that really cares about you as a person. She knows who you are when you come in, what you are dealing with. She is very receptive to trying last resorts, when there aren't any other options. I've been dealing with Psoriatic Arthritis for about 12 years, Dr. Segal is the doc I've been seeing the longest; since 2009 to present. I pray she never retires!!!

Dr. Segal has been my doctor for 6 years and I wouldn't trade her for anything! She is kind, compassionate, and truly cares about me. Not only did she dx me acurrately (Mayo didn't even do that), but her recommended treatments have changed my life - for the better! She can be a bit abrupt, but she is a thinker - and will always give it to you straight.

I had been seeing different Doctors in internal medicine and neurology for 15 years and getting nowhere with a diagnosis. I was told it was due to stress...or my favorite "your a middle aged single mom - you aren't supposed to feel good" then one day a doctor told me that I had rheumatoid arthritis and was put on some drugs and told to just deal with it, there was nothing else they could do.My first appt with Dr. Segal was a huge awakening. After a complete examination she told me that she didn't think I had RA, but instead Sjogren's Syndrome. She then ordered all the appropriate tests to confirm her diagnosis and has referred me to other specialists that are educated on my disease. I can't say enough good about her. I have been seeing her for almost three years and while she can't cure my disease, she has helped me manage it. A very compassionate doctor!

Has little regard for effort/distance patient expends to see her. First thing said after greeting, can't help patient. Explanation requires prodding. Thinks mild social anxiety equals panic disorder. Sees university scheduling and referral cooperation as seeing too many physicians and draws conclusions prior to appointment. Approaches medicine in manner lacking holistic insight. Has no regard for patient's descriptive accuracy. Thinks patient exaggerates. Diminishes patients concerns.
