Dr. Barbara Meredi Showalter, MD

Dr. Showalter is a true blessing to our community. I have never met another physician with such a calm and compassionate approach to patient care. Her committment to her patients, their families is unequivocally above and beyond that of any physician I've known. None other is as giving of her time, kindness, comforting words, empathy, dedication and unspoken expression of love. Dr. Showalter treats more than the physical needs of her patients, she also addresses their emotional and spiritual needs as well. She will openly pray for and with those in her care. I've known her to spend the entire night(s) with patients in need of her care, yet balances time with her supportive family. If physicians had wings, she most certainly would be the first to receive hers. To say she goes above and beyond her calling would be an understatement. It is a privilege to know Dr. Showalter.

Great doctor that has been my family Doctor many years. She is a very compasssionate doctor that really cares about her patients.

Dr Showalter is always thinking of others she spends her days going to the office traveling to there homes and seeing patients in the hospital. I have never know a more caring person as a Doctor. She is one in a million. Her compassion for her patients is above most Doctors in Merced. I can go on forever when it comes to her.

I have been a patient of hers for aproximately 18 years. I have never met a more qualified, thorough, selfless, wonderful advocate. Her care is as none I have ever come close to witnessing or experiencing by any other in her field. I am beyond greatful and blessed to have such an amazing care giver. I thank my Lord, daily, for having the opportunity to be her patient, (& I consider her as a dear friend and as close as any family I have ever known. Thank you doctor Showalter for ALL you do for so many!
