Dr. Barbara Strassberg, MD

Dr. Strassberg has taken care of both of my children for years. I meet people throughout Riverdale who saw her as kids and now send their babies to her. She’s a local institution. She calls back in the middle of the night without skipping a beat, visits patients who are hospitalized and truly and deeply cares about her patients. She makes it clear she thinks about my kids once we’ve left the office and goes out of her way to check on them. She goes above and beyond and we are honored to have her as our kids’ doctor.

Dr Strassberg is awesome. I'd recommend her to anyone. She is very attentive and walks you thru the process before the checkup and as she performs it. This provides a great level of comfort to my daughter, my husband and I. She actually addressees my daughter when speaking. This makes my 2 yr old feel very comfortable.

Terrible bedside manner, dated, old, mean and difficult. Not what you want from a pediatrician. I do not recommend this office but especially this doctor. The doctors do not build relationships with their patients.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Strassberg (and Riverdale Pediatrics in general). She has the most amazing bedside manner I have ever encountered. She is kind, patient, and caring. She is very experienced and makes parents feel at ease and comfortable. Check-ups are always thorough and she spends as much time as you need conferencing in her office. I have never felt rushed. There is virtually no wait time for newborns. But as the child gets older there may be a wait depending on the day. Sick visits are always scheduled that day and as soon as possible. The other two doctors in the practice are wonderful too. I have only seen them for sick visits but again, extremely thorough and kind as well. The nurses are amazing, funny and always make your child feel safe and comfortable. An overall fantastic experience. They don't accept my insurance anymore and I am willing to go out of network because Dr. Strassberg is that good!
