Dr. Barbara Rose Thompson

Dr Thompson has poor bedside manner. She doesn't connect with patients and actually is really negative. She is not part of their team helping them feel like they can work through the frustrations of having a chronic medical condition. She actually mocked my child when he spoke of the impact of celiac on his type 1 diabetes. She also didn't take into account anything about growth impacting blood sugars. She will no longer be my child's dr. Please stay away from her. She is not a helpful endocrinologist.

Finally! We love Dr. Marshall Thompson. She is excellent at explaining medical terminologies to parents and then speaking a different language to children. I love the way she connects with my child. A true gem we have here in Tacoma

She is the endocrinologist of our son. Our son was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with type 1 diabetes. She explains thoroughly and listens to our questions . She does not go in a hurry. Very gentle and caring. Now that our son turns 18 and go to a different specialist we recognized her dedication to her profession. How we wished she is still the doctor of our son.

My 11 year old has been diagnosed with Type 1 as of 2018. This doctor has no bedside manner and writes false information in her case notes. My daughter was afraid of her because she practically put my child down for her A1C being so high. There is a way to educate and work with families regarding Diabetes. We have since gone to another doctor. This new doctor helps us. Takes the time to explain things in a kind manner.

My 16 yr old has had Type I since he was 2. Dr. Marshall is our 4th endocronologist and the best one. She works "outside the box" as does her staff to offer care that relates to the individual patient. The Dr. and her staff have taken us through some tough things and amazing years. Thanks.

since my daughters diagnosis of type 1 diabetes almost 4 years ago Dr. Marshall has given us all the tools and care that he is required to ensure our daughter has not had to revisit the hospital. she fully explain what is going on and gives a child the attention they need. she helped a new diabetic become independent within a short span of time and has explained everything to make the process not as scary. she is the best
