Dr. Barbara Wojda, MD

CDC called me when I was in Florida 2016. The CDC doesn’t call anyone unless they have been invited to a State. The Florida Health Department had to invite the CDC so I could get the right treatment. I finally got better after 5 months of meds. My Humana pharmacist said I would have to stay on a maintenance program. 3 years and I haven’t been on the maintenance program. I research all Doctors before I make my appointment. She was referred to me. The research on her was pretty good. I had such high hopes at my appointment with her. She opened a folder and said, “you are on the blacklist, you have a code”. I said what does that mean? She said I doubt that the University of Louisville or anyone can help you. She didn’t look at me. I’m going to die soon and I refuse to go to a emergency room or see any Doctors in Kentucky.

I feel really comfortable telling her the truth she is always informative and patient when I tell her I don’t understand. I’ve been seeing her for a few years and I think I’d be okay with just her for the rest of my life! Awesome!

Rude, insulting, lacks people skills. Would do good to take a lesson in customer service.

I saw Dr. Wojda for a consultation for a surgical infection. She is very thorough and such a nice person.

It made me give at least 1 star, but she does not deserve that! She was the rudest, most unprofessional MD that I have ever went to. She refused to look at my extensive outside medical records. I was in there all of 5 min, when she said " I can not help you"! WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT MY LABS AND RECORDS. I was referred to her by Oncology, and yet she dismissed any possible diagnosis! I am writing the medical board to file a complaint!! I would not recommend anyone to her for medical care!!

I have been seeing Dr. Wojda for more than 10 years, not having ever met or known her prior to that time. I consider her a professional friend whose concern and care for me has been foremost during that time. I have also used the services of her husband, whose is an ER Physician at Baptist Hospital East. I can say the same of him. There were a couple of instances over those years where I was less than honest with her in order to hide a drug problem I had. This never interfered negatively with our relationship, but to the contrary, she worked all the harder to help me with my problem. She has devoted time that I know went way beyond the remuneration she received from my insurance coverage. Her professionalism, knowledge of her field, kindness and personal demeanor makes a visit to her office always to be an inspiration. I can honestly say that I have never had a physician to whom I have more respect.

Dr. Wojda has just recently saved my life for at least the 3rd time. She is such a thorough doctor. She is kind and caring and works tirelessly to ensure that her patients are cured. Everyone I have referred to her has thanked me repeatedly. (I know she can come across as abrupt at times, but it is because her brain is racing like a computer trying to figure out all the variables. She is extremely willing to listen and discuss matters if you are just patient and try to be clear with what you are trying to talk about.) She is so smart and capable that it's well worth any minor issue like abruptness.

Dr. Wojda is a true example of health care. She makes sure you have the care and needs of health professionals. She saved my life and had made sure I had the best medical attention available. She never sees obstacles except to give 100% in making her patients healthy and able to live productive lives. I am so fortunate to have her as my medical and life advisor.....

I've been a patient of Dr. Wojda's since 2005, she has always been wonderful. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on treatment options and research in the field. She also was quick to diagnose my cancer and refer me to an oncologist for treatment. She is regularly in contact with my oncologist to co-ordinate test results and treatments. She is a true blessing and a truly classy lady.

I became extremely ill with Sepsis, Bacterial Meningitis, Viral Pneumonia other infections after moving to Louisville. I was hospitalized and learned I was three days away from paralysis. When friends learned Dr. Wojda had been assigned to me, they said "she's the best". They were right. She promptly diagnosed not only my illnesses, but HOW the infection got in my body, when a local Dermatologist AND Norton Immediate care could/did not diagnose my illness. It took me months to recover, as she indicated it would, and I had numerous follow-up visits to her office. Which BTW, is lovely, conveniently located, and has street parking within 50-100 ft. Oddly enough, my husband got Sepsis about a year after I did. He was assigned another Infectious Disease, and kindly asked to be treated by Dr. Wojda simply because we fully trusted her for her skills, experience and excellent care. Dr. Wojda IS the best, and I and would recommend her in a heart beat!

I really felt bad and went to my internist. I told her I had felt bad and had a fever and night sweats. She confirmed the fever of 102, and had lab tests and told me to come back in a week. The next week I had a fever of 103. She ignored me completely and told me to come back the next week. My friend who is a patient of Dr. Wojda called her and asked her to see me that minute if not sooner. We went to her office and she took me right away and admitted me to the hospital with double Pneumonia. I felt she was truly concerned about me. She followed up with a referral to another internist.

Dr. Wojda saved my arm from a very nasty infection a few years ago. She is professional, helpful, friendly, and the best solution when it comes to infectious disease. I have personally referred friends and co workers to her. Each time Dr. Wojda went above and beyond the call of duty to diagnose, serve and save her patients. BRAVO! Wish all physicians were as successful with patient outcomes.

We've been blessed to have her walk with us through three brain infections and two other infectious ailments--one of which was my mother's final illness. If people can't get past an accent, shame on them! Her diagnostic and clinical work are second to none. Ask any local doctor, and they will rave about her medical prowess. I thank God that she was referred to us (by the University of Lousville faculty, chairman of the dept of neurology), who holds her in great esteem. I might not be alive without her help.

She is very short with me and spends no time explaining anything. I left feeling confused and not sure about how to cure my issue.

Poor communication skills were a serious issue which made it difficult to get information on the diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
