If it is a holiday, it's a safe bet that our office is decorated in every nook and cranny.  This is just one indication that the atmosphere here leans towards good humor and fun.  The open design of our office encourages communication between everyone in the operatory.  The staff and Doctor are dedicated to keenly listening to concerns and goals of patients and their parents.    Both children and adults are relaxed and confident in Dr. Rothstein's care because he spends quality time answering their questions and explaining the process of aligning their teeth and improving their bite.  Dr. Rothstein ensures his patients that he personally assesses their progress each visit in the office.  This approachability is the key to his excellent rapport with patients and parents of all ages.
Dr. Rothstein graduated from the University of Massachusetts, cum laude, with a degree in Chemistry.  He earned his Doctorate from Tufts University School of Medicine, cum …laude, in 1971, where he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.  As a Lieutenant in the United States Public Health Service from 1971 to 1973, Dr. Rothstein was stationed as a General Dentist at the Indian Health Service Hospital in Tuba City, Arizona.  He received a Masters of Dentistry in Orthodontics from St. Louis University Graduate School of Orthodontics in 1975. In July of the same year, he opened his private practice and has treated thousands of people of all ages.
In 1988, Dr. Rothstein earned his certification as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the Southern Arizona Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, the Arizona State Orthodontic Association, and the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group.
Dr. Rothstein is also a member of the Oral Facial Team at the Children's Clinic for Rehabilitative Services on the campus of Tucson Medical Center.  This team is comprised of specialized physicians and dentists who collaborate in the treatment of cleft palate and facial deformities of those under the age of twenty-one.  In July 2007, Dr. Rothstein was appointed an Adjunct Professor of Orthodontia at the Arizona Graduate School of Dentistry and Oral Health.  He especially enjoys mentoring the students and fostering their clinical growth and development.  
While his children were involved with Sabino Canyon Little League, Dr. Rothstein enjoyed teaching and mentoring as a coach and manager of over forty teams. He also served on the Board of this Little League for five years as well as on the Board of Directors for fifteen years for a religious institution.
Dr. Rothstein enjoys reading science fiction, following the Red Sox, and engaging in outdoor activities (his favorite is fly fishing).  He and his wife, Helene, spend many cherished quality moments with their two sons, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
