This man saved my life!! Had perforated bowel that required emergency surgery! Dr explained everything to me and my family. Made us very comfortable and confident. I had a great outcome and a quick recovery. I am back at work and feeling good. Great surgeon!! Highly recommended.

In 2014 I found a lump on my neck. Went to Doctor Barnes for it. I had an ultra sound done and a biopsy on this lump. I was told this lump could be taken out in the office which I was very nervous about. After many apptments was told by the doctor it would be best to have it removed. Made the appointment and with my boyfriend went to have it taken out. Above the lump was a mole (that did not need removed). I was numbed around the area and my head was turned to the right during the procedure. I was cut open and what I thought was a lump being removed. A bandage was put over the area. Took my bandage off as told 2 days later to find the MOLE gone and NOT the lump. I went back for the check up and he comes in and says great news the mole was not cancerous. I said what are you talking about I wasn't here for a mole removal in any one of the many appointments I have come too. He looks all confused. I said what did you cut me open for with a tiny mole like that and give me stitches. My… daughter had just had 2 similar moles removed at another doctor and had none of that. I left that day and talked to the complaint department and 2 more times after that. I have wrote 3 letters to them requesting information on what is being done and of course have not heard from them in atleast 9 months. I would recommend nobody to him or this office EVER!!!

I had major bowel surgery done by Dr Barnes recently. Other members of my family have also had surgery performed by Dr Barnes We find the comments from the 11/03/10 reviewer to be completely uncharacteristic of Dr barnes. We find him to be caring, knowledgable and highly skilled at his profession.

I recently went to the ER of the hospital that employs Dr Barnes. After several hours I was diagnosed with Appendicitis. Dr Barnes was my surgeon from then on. The pain was excruciating and unending, also unfading from the original problem. He said my appendix needed to be removed because of inflammation. About a week later of no relief I went back and I was then told I needed my gall bladder removed, during surgery an incision was made and I lost 1.5 liters of blood and within 24 hours I had another exploratory surgery so I am no covered in scars, holes, and massive pain. If you need to have a procedure done, please with this place... request a second opinion!!
