If I could rate zero stars for this “psychiatrist“ I would. Like another evaluator here, this “doctor” went on a text rant with me completely out of nowhere, and after two years of my being his patient, keeping appointments and being nothing but an upstanding patient. This guy is completely unbalanced. I’m guessing he has been prescribing himself the wrong dose of the wrong thing for far too long

I saw Dr. Edelman for almost a year and we met several times over the course of that year. My first impression was that he did not really make eye contact or take a personal interest in the lives of his clients, but seemed okay enough. After we met several times, he continued to ask what my profession was each time. I should not have to remind him every time- this was the initial red flag. The next red flag was this: he prescribed me two medications, and when I had them filled, my pharmacist pulled me aside to tell me that these two drugs should NEVER interact or be prescribed together. The final straw and red flag was his unwillingness to refill a time-sensitive prescription. I had accepted time for an upcoming appointment upon which I asked him to refill the prescription to tide me over in the interim. As he knows as a psychiatrist, antidepressants must be taken daily or it is very dangerous for the brain. I explained that I was very busy until our appointment and asked if he… could refill this one time prior to our meeting, as other prescribers have done this in the past. This scenario would have been fine had he grounded it in medical rules, patient procedures, or policies: however, he was grounding it in personal preference at the expense of my mental health. He had a very cavalier attitude towards my situation and repeatedly told me it was "my choice" to go without these medications. I believe that doctors should put their patients first and not their egos, especially when patients have mental health problems. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone who seeks real treatment, empathy, or ethical behavior.

Went to see him a couple of times seeking help. Immediately came off as rude and uncaring. How can you seek help from such a doctor. Tried to contact him several times and no response. I think he needs to see a shrink.

He rescheduled me because I got a cold without my request for 2 weeks later and then when I wanted to reschedule didn’t return my texts.

Poor response time. I had to message him multiple times over the span of a week to get a response from him. Very unprofessional. I reported it to my insurance as well.

He will not return phone calls. He will only text and when I asked to switch the time of an appointment he said, "I need to pay bills and I would have made plans to go out." This is beyond unprofessional, rude and incredibly disgusting behavior.

I would certainly recommend Dr. Edelman. I can recall the death of my mother and how difficult it was for my siblings and I but, Dr.Edelman made it acceptable and tolerable for me.

Was very comfortable when meeting fur the first time and would recommend patients to him.

Warning! Do not see this Doctor! First and for most he will only take you once he makes sure you can pay him! Then God forbid you have to cancel or reacheduale you are asked by him to not come back! Shameful that so many people depend on good doctors and will have no choice but to get this one! Thankfully I learned very early on how bad this guy is. His other reviews speak for themselves!
