Dr. Barry Lynn Eppley, MD

Eppley did some corrective work on my chin and he did a horrible job. He takes zero responsibility for his work. He is like a mad scientist just jumping in and trying anything. I can almost assure you if you suggest a surgery to him, no matter what it is, he’s likely to agree to it. Completely unethical.

As a result of trusting the inadequate skills of this plastic surgeon, I ended up with a humiliating, disfigured look. He’s an unethical businessman, masquerading as a plastic surgeon. I discovered him online while looking for surgeons and was captivated by his seemingly brilliant and bright persona. From the way that he presented himself, he appeared to know every trick in the book. While every other surgeon only offered standard procedures and limited answers during consultations, HE seemingly knew of every single rare surgical procedure under the sun. HE appeared to have an answer to EVERYTHING. Despite seeing all of the bad reviews about him, I chose not to believe them and foolishly gave him the benefit of the doubt. A big mistake. I realized only after the horrible operation, that all of his seemingly "unlimited" consultation-answers, that came from his apparently "knowledgable" mind - were lies. And that his "rare" and "innovative" procedures which I had bought, had been… grossly misrepresented. They showed up to be disastrous off-label ripoffs, taken from other surgical procedures, meant for other areas of the human body. I was used as a human-trial experiment for his surgical procedures, without consent. Have you also fallen victim? Fill out a complaint form against him at the "Medical Licensing Board of Indiana" website. Enough formal complaints to the board jury members will help revoke his medical license - and, most importantly, protect others!

I have some minor hollowing under my eyes and since my regular doctor recently retired I decided to look into implants for the hollows. Dr. Eppley was friendly enough but without even examining my face he told me I have a negative vector orbit. I found this hilarious because my former doctor told me I merely have a lack of fat from my low body fat and thin skin. I’m a model and stay around 9 to 12 percent body fat year round. Not to mention my cheekbones are my best feature which is why I’m a model and he wanted to modify them. I knew he was only in it for the money then and went to another doctor in NYC. I asked him what he thought about me having a negative vector and he quickly examined me and said my cheek mass extends well beyond my top eyelid. So no that I definitely don’t have a negative orbit. Just as my former doctor said I had a lack of fat in my tear trough only. He told me it’s common among models to have a lack of fat there. Eppley just wanted to do a quick surgery for… quick money is my opinion which is why he just says anyone with eye hollows has a negative orbit when there are three reasons for it as the other two doctors explained to me. My new doctor in NYC said it’s a new trend in surgery to just say there’s a negative orbit to do unnecessary surgery or fillers. I’m sticking with fillers in my tear trough only since yes Dr. Eppley my cheekbones in the words of my new doctor are perfect.

A horrible doctor with an even more horrible staff. Cindy the practice manager is inept and lacks any foresight as to how her rude and unprofessional behavior significantly impacts a patient’s willingness to engage with this practice. The doc himself has poor aesthetic taste, little compassion if something goes wrong, and left me with a cosmetic surgery disaster that I will now be paying another doc thousands of dollars to fix. He also tries to charge surgeon’s fees (on top of OR/anesthesia fees) if a revision is required due to an INFECTION — that should tell you all you need to know about this greedy and unethical man. Consider yourself warned.

Dr. Eppley and his staff were fabulous! I have never met a physician who was more willing to take the time to answer patient's questions and elaborate his explanations than Dr. Eppley. He has the most artistic eye for symmetry and proportion in addition to his skills as a surgeon.

I expected to get several facial procedures done here. It looked like just the right place. I studied Dr. Eppley's online articles and his thinking (on paper) seemed perfectly aligned with what I wanted done and how I wanted it done. However, everything starting with my consultation convinced me more and more that nobody at that office cared to properly address my concerns and answer direct questions. I also began to doubt Dr. Eppley's willingness and ability to deliver good results for me and eventually decided to not have any surgery here. I'll be taking my business somewhere else - where a doctor can give me great results and I'm valued as a client.

In 2016 I made the decision to get rid of my chubby cheeks (despite having a skinny body) and narrow down my nostrils. Dr. Eppley was very helpful in guiding my decision and was very upfront about the pros and cons of both. His suggestion of peri oral mound liposuction to achieve my goal made for a lovely result. After full recovery I would wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and cry with joy at how lovely Dr. Eppley’s skill made me look. I have noticed a positive trajectory in my life and will be forever grateful. With his credentials, experience, and innovation, I really am blessed that he has his practice in my home state of Indiana. I will be a returning patient if his this next month for another procedure.

Dr. Eppley created a custom chin implant for me, I really cannot say enough about how happy I am. I did a lot of research and it was obvious I made the right decision to go with him. He is the BEST. Thank you so much!!
