System is broken- DO NOT GO HERE. Went to see Dr. Fenton, got a PA (Dr. Ngumezi, who was lovely)- after our meeting was told that to proceed with treatment I needed ADHD testing which I respected as I appreciate a quantitative prescriptive approach. They outsource the testing as it's time consuming and they make more money with hourly appointments. After searching for weeks I finally got an appointment, not for the testing (despite a referral), but for an initial meeting to then schedule testing for the next month- 3 months have passed, copays of about $200- then find out insurance doesn't fully cover the testing and I could be responsible for thousands of dollars out of pocket. Went to a different physician who understood my situation and started me at lowest dosage of treatment with extensive logging which has been a literal life/job/sanity saver. Now 3 months later I get billed $285 that insurance rejected for the mouth swab I took as a new patient at Dr. Fenton's (protocol)-… apparently insurance does cover (as they assured me while signing) UNLESS they outsource- which they did. I signed the papers so I'm responsible for yet another bill. Between copays, additional bills being mailed the following weeks, and testing (not the kind that would help me) I've paid a total of $600 for a student who was genuinely struggling, mentioned she was at her breaking point, and received NO HELP.

WARNING!!!! After seeing Dr. Fenton for over 1.5 years, I walked into his office for my regular monthly appointment... I began to talk about how I was feeling (as usual), and all of a sudden he accuses me of taking an amphetamine called Phentermine, out of no where! I was being prescribed (by Dr. Fenton) at the time 90 mg of Adderall, an amphetamine as well (and the maximum allowed by the State of Texas). Dr. Fenton claimed that I was being prescribed Phentermine by my previous psychiatrist, Dr. Roman, and that I could get my prescription records from the national database at my pharmacy, CVS. I called CVS to find out that Phentermine was NEVER prescribed or issued to me. I also called Dr. Roman, whom said he had never prescribed Phentermine to me, implying that Dr. Fenton was lying. I emailed and called Dr. Fenton many times (informing him of my findings), to receive NO response! I was unable to get an appt. with a new psychiatrist for around one month after the discharge.. Three… weeks after Dr. Fenton discharged me from his practice, I was in a car accident in my new car (because of not having Adderall) , costing me thousands (if not close to 10k) in fees, (from depreciation of the vehicle, to 4 months of a rental car, when I was told my claim check would arrive in 3-4 weeks). NEGATIVE. Dr. Fenton cost me a lot of money for a false accusation. I then was curious about what his Psychiatry license said... so I looked him up, only to find that he had an “Agreed Order” from the Texas Medical Board which claimed he had a personal and sexual relationship with a female client. This information is available to the entire public. I hope no one has to endure what I went through, hence me posting this...

He has hard time hearing and should consider buying hearing aids.

I have had the luck to find this outstanding physician when I was at the lowest point in my life. I cannot begin to tell you how he has helped me. He listens patiently, was very empathetic and helped me find my way back to reality. He is #1 in my book and would not consider going anywhere else. He has become my friend as well as my confidant.

A good listener, made me feel like he cared about me and knew what he was doing.

After 6+ years of monthly visits and well over $5000 spent, never missing and appointment , never have I been late nor have I rescheduled an appointment or asked to have a Doctor call me back EVER NEVER!! Like Dr. Fenton but due to his heavy scheduled started seeing his PA JESSICA! Not good not kind doesn't even try to act like she cares or wants to hear what you have to say when flippantly asked how's everything going? She's busy writing, doesn't look up at you and if you ask her to be so kind and date a RX for filling day 29 Sso you can go on vacation instead of 30 days then your in trouble! She will not NOT DO IT but take it a step further and date it for day 31 so your travel plans will really be screwed! Doesn't even say have a good trip .. Nothing zero zip get out of her office! Sick to my stomach to think any of my money when in her big fat wallet! Go work in a dark damp prison as it not only suits your souless personality but kindness isn't a requirement!
