He was good while I was in the ER but on my notes he claimed I was faking low oxygen. I have been on portable oxygen off an on since I was 15 and have all my own oxygen supplies at home which he knew so I don’t know why I would need to “fake it” to be sent home on oxygen. He claimed he “held the oximeter” firmly on my finger and my O2 was fine (he never did that) then when he let go he claimed he “noticed” that I had slid my finger down so I didn’t get a proper reading. I was shocked reading the note. I have a long history of lung infections (several of which have landed me in the ICU) and need of oxygen. By the way, I was in the ER for chest issues and struggling to breathe. I’ve never had anyone accuse me of faking before so I was very distraught.

My husband was rushed to the ER with a kidney stone (although at the time we didn't know that was what it was). Dr. Gardenhire figured out immediately what was going on and helped calmed our worries (my husband has cancer as well and these symptoms were new and worrisome). We were grateful for the attention and help we received.
