Dr. Barry Kenneth Gould, MD

AVOID THIS CREEP AT ALL COSTS!!! Saw him for the first time for a Diabetes Endo appointment. After questioning me on how I currently manage my diabetes, he would roll his eyes and shake his head. I would try to explain my answers and he would cut me off. He did a physical exam, which I had just done with my general doctor, so I KNOW this was not necessary at all. He had me drink a cup of warm tap water and pushed on my throat when I swallowed to "check my thyroid". I had just done blood work to literally check my thyroid levels. I've had diabetes for a decade and have never had someone choke me to check my thyroid before. Then he needed to check my stomach, and had me lay down on the table. He lifted up my shirt without warning or permission to expose my stomach. My general doctor didn't make me remove any clothing when they did the exact same thing. Why this weirdo needed to see skin is beyond what I can fathom. What year is he practicing medicine in?! I left in tears because I felt… so offended and violated. This guy needs his license revoked! I will never see him again!

Dr Gould is a great doctor he does not sugar coat anything he will be blunt and honest and he knows his stuff if you want a change for the better he gets things done. but you have to do as he says and do the work. I fear him and appreciate him for getting me to make the proper changes in my life . So if you are a sensitive person he may make you feel bad and intimidate you but I'm pretty sensitive and I made it to visit 3 so I will keep seeing him my blood sugar is finally going down.

Had appointment with Dr Gould to get a CGM showed him my meter that I was testing sugar 5 times a day he said I had to see his nurse practitioners next week to get a CGM so I go see NP following week apparently Dr Gould needed to write down how many times I tested my blood sugar in order for me to get a CGM but he didn't and in order to get the CGM I had to see his nurse practitioner once a month for the next 3 months just to go back to my 3 months then follow up with Gould so I could have him write down how many times I test my sugar just to get a CGM that's a crooked Dr don't see this fraud

I went to see dr. Barry Gould to get a CGM and he said that I had to enter his program and see one of his nurse practitioners so I made the appointment to see his nurse practitioner and when I went to see her to get my CGM he was supposed to write down how many times I was testing my blood sugar and then because he didn't write down that I was testing my blood sugar at least four times a day which I test it six times a day I would have to wait three months until my next visit with dr. Gould to get the CGM meanwhile still seeing his nurse practitioner once a month for no reason my whole reason of going to the appointment in the first place with Dr Gould endocrinologist e m I will never see Dr Barry Gould or his nurse practitioners again trying to make me go to five visits before I get my CGM I'm going to make an appoint with a different doctor thank you very much don't waste your time you're going to have to go to 5 appointment just to get what you're looking

I gave such a low rating because he didn't like when I questioned his treatment plan for me. He was very condescending and put in my chart that I was a difficult and irrational patient. My primary care provider read what he wrote to me. When I had my thyroid out, he had me searching all over town for a prescription that the surgeon said that he didn't need to use. In fact, it was something very old school. I don't think that he is as up on his medical knowledge as he should be.

i visited this site before my appt wih dr gould. everyone has nothing but negative and disgusting things to say about him. i have seen so many doctors and specialists. hematologist, another endocrinologist that was mean to me, ent, regular primary care... i have so many labs ordered and so much to go through. dr gould was the ONLY one that helped me!!! when i gave in his office he was warm and inviting. he was sweet to me. he checked all of my paperwork and was angry that other doctors made me go through what i went through. it didnt take him long to look through all of my documents to realize that i had graves disease. he did a thorough examination of my eyes and throat. i almost didnt want to see this man based on peoples crappy reviews on him. if you have a SERIOUS issue and you are not faking symptoms like the people writing these reviews... then this doctor is for you. he was amazing and good to me. he immediately gave me meds to help my symptoms and made a follow up for next… month. amazing amazing doctor. these reviews are not true at all. thank you dr gould without you i dont know where i would be.

Do not see this doctor unless you like a man who thinks he is God and does not care what you or any other doctors you have seen think. He claimed my doctors for 15 years were wrong even when the tests show they were right.

My first visit with this Dr he had a negative connotation and I didn't like him from the beginning. He walks in doesn't really get to know where you are with your health just looks at test results and makes an overall accessment of who you are and pretty much judges you. He likes the scare tactic and thinks that will motivate you to want to follow his treatment plan. I will die and kiss Jesus before I let him treat me. However, I better watch what I say because there are only a handful of endocrinologist in this town!!!

You can tell by the look in his eyes when he examines you that he is really concerned with making you better. Whether it is a real concern or an ego thing, the bottom line is he CARES. Very personable/likeable personality
