After completing his fellowship training in medicine and infectious disease at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dr. Hartman completed basic research training at Rockefeller University, where he studied the mechanism for methicillin-resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). His current focus is clinical care and education, and his interests include antibiotics and antibiotic resistance, surgical infections, endocarditis and vascular infections. Dr. Hartman is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and received the Clinician of the Year Award from the Infectious Diseases Society of America in 2018. He is currently co-chair of the Enterprise Formulary and Therapeutics (F&T) Committee at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Hartman is a caring, excellent , intelligent doctor. He is trustworthy and very thorough. I know I’m in excellent hands when I visit Dr. Hartman. I have been his patient for well over 30 years.

I found him very prepared and knowledgeable. He took his time to visit me. He run a bunch of tests and even recommended follow ups for my immediate family that no other doctor ever recommended (and he was actually right). He called me on Friday evening at 6:40pm to go over my tests results and followed up with all my other doctors. I hope I won’t need him again but I’d definitely recommend him!

Worst and RUDEST doctor I have EVER MET. Avoid at all costs- will not listen to a thing you say and is very old school know it all. Not brushed up to know anything about modern medicine. Should retire. Treated me like a piece of trash for money. Never been so displeased.
