When he is not busy providing dental care to his patients, Dr. Jacobson remains busy in education and research. Dr. Jacobson received his Bachelors Degree from Columbia University, his Doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his specialty certificate from Maimonides Medical Center of Brooklyn, NY where he was chief resident. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dentistry for the prestigious Columbia University School of Medicine, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and the Maimonides Medical …Center in Brooklyn where he teaches a variety of post-graduate dental courses to future dentists. In addition, Dr. Jacobson has authored articles for parenting resources such as Toddler's Today Magazine, Autism Digest Magazine, Parentsknow.com, Health News Digest, as well as being featured in a Forbes Magazine article.
Besides his expertise in all issues pertaining to pediatric dentistry, Dr. Jacobson has emerged as a pioneer and leader in the field of laser dentistry for children where he has published many scientific papers on the subject matter. Dr. Jacobson was one of the first pediatric dentists on the East Coast to introduce lasers to his young patients. He has been invited to address other professionals at dental conferences focusing on "the future of lasers in dentistry."
