Dr. Barry Justice, MD

Dr. Justice has always listened and been very thorough. He is the only pediatrician that we have seen and trust to treat our sons. He has been there for our family through several emergency and non emergency situations. Our oldest son has been treated by Dr. Justice since he was born and was sad when he got too old to see him any longer. We highly recommend him to anyone that asks!

We transferred to Dr. Justice from another pediatrician. I was skeptical at the time as my son was a preemie when he was born. Dr. Justice has always been fair and listened to my concerns as a Mother and never treated me with anything BUT RESPECT, even though I know sometimes he wanted to tell me I was just being an overprotective mom. My son has grown into a fine young man with the help of Dr. Justice and his wonderful nurse Tanya. I see the bad reviews and believe that a lot of it has to do with Communication. If you cannot be open and honest with your doctor then he cannot accurately treat your child. He is not afraid to tell me his views on something but I have never had an issue with him listening and working with me as we work as a team to treat my son. I have recommended and referred NUMEROUS family and friends to this fine wonderful doctor and will continue to do so.

I read bad reviews, but I am not one to listen to "rumors" so I went anyway. Dr. Justice called CPS on me for breastfeeding. He wanted me to supplement with formula, I did. He was mad I wouldn't switch to completely formula. It was my choice to do as I pleased even CPS said they can't tell me I can't breastfeed. For good measure he threw in me smoking too. Who is this guy to tell me I can't breastfeed or smoke?? Then call CPS for it?? He should have listened to me and worked on coming up with a solution I was happy with. I went to him 4 times over this ordeal. Everything he told me about breastfeeding was untrue, at least according to my lactation consultants ( I called 3 of them to be sure). Then he wonders why I insisted on breastfeeding against what he asked. He should have taken one of my several visits to listen to me rather than insist he was right. New doctor says baby is on the small side, but height/weight proportionate so she is not concerned. I ended up filing a complaint… with the Texas Medical Board. I hear there is one good doctor at this clinic, so I wouldn't count them all out.

Dr. Justice sees all three of my children and we think he is a fantastic doctor. My children love his calm manner and I personally appreciate and respect a doctor that stands firmly behind something he has studied and believes is best for children.

I also found out the hard way that if you decide not to vaccinate your child, Dr.Justice will refuse to continue to see them. It does not matter if you've spent great amounts of time researching your decision, reading books, articles and reports. If you don't do what he wants you to do with your child, he won't continue to see them. I don't agree with this, as there are many proven side effects with vaccines and it will not be Dr. Justice who is left dealing with any consequences, it will be the parent. There are thousands of parents nowdays who don't vaccinate. He should not force his personal beliefs on parents on this issue.

Dr. Justice has been my pediatrician for the past twenty years. I am sad that I'm older now and have to find another doctor. His caring manner has given my mother some calm during times when I was really sick, and when I see him around town, he knows me by name and is always very personable. He is an extremely good doctor.

2 visits with my newborn son and after that I was outta there!--If you are not prepared to be led along by a leash or controlled at all times--do not bother with this guy!--2 years later a line he fed me still sticks in my head!--"I have to be the advocate for this child"--I said back to him--"There is no one on this earth better qualified than me to be his advocate---I am his mother!"--and I left his office never to return--I have never felt so belittled or patronized in all my life--and me an older-(36 at the time)-- 1st time mom but Tons of experience with babies and children for over 15 years! it was evena hassle later when i tried to get my sons records transferred from his office to my new doctor.
