He is quite funny. Also, he is very caring. I felt immediately at ease. Thank you, Dr. Barry.

Barry Levinson “blackballed me” from receiving a colonoscopy - because I DID NOT RECEIVE a phone msg about the appointment time/date. Since I had not heard from NWG, I called to inquire about the procedure details. (Only to be told it was intended to be the previous day.) Barry’s “self righteousness” would not even listen to me. I can’t be at an appointment that I was not notified about. This “Mission Statement” is a crock! Our mission is to provide the most comfortable and convenient setting to deliver quality gastrointestinal endoscopic care to our patients. Our goal is to be recognized for our excellence in gastrointestinal procedural care, by stressing the factors of comfort, convenience, patient care, and equal access. I Simple Want a Medical Procedure and to be Notified of my Appointment Date. Apparently, that is not a part of their “mission.” Your office fails to contact me (when you have my cell number and voicemail) and I am the one who is penalized. Disappointing &… Unbelievable!

Love, love, love Dr. Lev and his staff. They are thorough and life-savers!

Dr. Levenson has performed several colonoscopies and upper endoscopies on me and I've always found him to be caring, considerate and skilled. His sense of humor helped me not be as nervous about the procedures and I found him funny. The staff was top notch too.

This is my opinion only and not necessarily that of others. Although he may technically be a good doctor, his interaction with me has been unprofessional. He is very friendly when I agree with him but will not tolerate or discuss input that goes against his position. His appears to me to be rigid and unflexible. On more than one occasion, he has exhibited a temper tantrum which was both shocking and embarrasing. I have severed my doctor/patient relationship with him and will search for a kinder physician.

Front desk thinks they are doctors, refused to tell docs about serious occular side effect of my HCV medication, as well as alert me to serious reduction in white count, failed to alert docs about relatives serious gastro bleeding that sent them to the hospital, tries to make excuses for staff. Horrible bedside manner.

He is warm and caring, and thorough, and persistent. He can be funny and teasing, but when it gets serious, he is 100% there.

Rude and rough!
