Dr. Barry I Matza, DDS

Dr Matza has years of experience as a DMD. He has performed multiple cleft palate repairs. Our daughter is with Dr Matza for malalignment and orthodontics. I have been an RN for 30 years and highly suggest this physician. So much that I am becoming a patient myself. The staff is professional and they are accommodating during emergencies. Worst ever

After having consulted with numerous orthodontists, thankfully we found Dr. Matza. His expertise is second to none, and his office staff is superlative. I drive an hour to get to his office as I don't live nearby, and it is absolutely worth it.

We are very pleased with our experience with Dr. Matza and his staff (professional, kind and caring). We are confident our kids are getting the best care available.

All the guy cares about is money. He was going to charge me almost 3x what someone else ended up charging me. He also keeps repeating procedures that are additional costs even if he just did them 2 wks prior His bedside manner is horrible. Has no patience

The only thing Dr. Matza cares about is your money. My daughter was treated in two phases over the course of 5 years, wore her retainer as recommended and her bottom teeth all shifted. My other daughter did not need braces but had an issue with a molar. Dr. Matza put it a spacer and all her teeth shifted, her bite was affected and as a result she ended up needed braces. It was always very difficult to get an appointment. In addition, Dr. Matza is constantly out of the office / on vacation. I was going to jump ship at one point because of the difficulty scheduling appointments (I should have) but Dr. Matza promised me they'd work around my kids schedule (they take the train home from BAK and Dreyfoos). That was an empty promise and every time I called, I had to jump through hoops to get an appointment that was later in the day. My daughters both said he was very impersonal, never really spoke to them. He's also very old school. He only recently switched to digital x-rays and started… doing invisalign. He does not do permanent retainers. I would not recommend him at all and wished I had followed my instinct much earlier on.
