This is the most caring and compassionate Psychiatrist I have ever seen. I almost lost my faith in mental Health in this country for a while. He has saved me and helped me through very difficult times. I had a bad experience with a previous therapist and file a complaint to the state. That doctor got into trouble BUT Dr. Nelson took over and it was the first therapist that really listened and helped me find solutions. He combined CBT and Coping techniques. Also found the right medication that worked for me. I would never want him to retire! I was abused and ended up with PTSD. He never jumped to conclusions or went too fast. He is well respected and an asset to our country’s mental health. He is very busy but if you can get in as a patient do so, you will not regret his listening techniques and skills to help smooth over the tough times in life!

Dr Nelson is the most skilled psychiatrist that I have ever been treated by and he has treated me for 16 years. There is no more dedicated psychiatrist in today’s environment of 10 minute appointments. He spends as much time as his patients need.

Dr Nelson is Awesome. He cares about his patients and he is very kind and attentive. He accidentally double booked an appointment with my husband and another patient however as a courtesy to us he still saw us without charging him.

Dr. Nelson is the most compassionate psychiatrist with whom I have ever treated over the course of 27 years and 10 other doctors. He always gives me his 100% attention. He follows my progress on medications and is always willing to make changes to meds if need be. He asks questions about all aspects of my life as opposed to most psychiatrists who just give me 15 minutes of med check. I am lucky to have finally found a psychiatrist who treats the whole person.

Went to vivist once. Visit was ok and informative. Situation changed and he would not get back in touch. I think 48 - 72 hours is a resonable time to get back in touch with someone. after several phone calls and no call backs. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
