Dr. Barry Jay Pearlman, MD

He's a very thoughtful doctor. Glad I had the procedure done by him. Wish all docs were this good. It'll be a shame when he retires but he deserves it after so many years of practice.

I had a procedure at Doc Pearlman’s office. I thought I liked everyone. I just made a call to Dr Pearlman’s office about another issue and was helped by a terrific Person named La Porsche. Oh my now I remembered why I liked my experience. She was so nice and helpful. I’m so grateful she Is doing what she is doing.

The secretary was a rude, nasty, millennial, who should not be dealing with patients on the phone, or face to face. She demanded my insurance card, which I do not have, but is in the Cedars system. I showed them my ID, and offered my insurance information four times, and she refused to take it. She told me not to sit down; "Cause I ain't done wi-cha, I'mah look up your insurance, which she found, and then asked me for the numbers from me she turned down four times. She said she couldn't read the card on file, even though I could, went back to the doctor who refused to talk to me or to see me without an actual card. He said; "I don't have time for her," when I asked to speak with him. Rude office and a waste of time. No wonder he has 2.3 stars. They don't even deserve one!

Dr. Pearlman is a brilliant physician and has a wonderful bedside manner. His Assistant, Roxanne is unprofessional, ignorant, ugly, and a bad reflection of this mans business. He lacks judgement in hiring clerical staff.

Although the procedure was done correctly the billing department and Dr.s' handling of the finance was terrible. In short they first told me everything but a $500 co-pay would be covered by Ins. I even checked with two people at their office. I then received a bill for $2500 and the doctor was unwilling to speak to me on the phone and their back office kept giving me the run around. It seems like they wanted to bill this another way then originally promised so that their office would make more money. I will not be going here again and would advise you get what they promise in writing...

Thorough examination that resulted in generic IBS diagnosis. Did not get to the cause or correct treatment. Problem was later solved by a talented young internist.
