Dr. Barry Edward Rabin, MD

A psychiatrist, "Dr. Barry Rabin," working on Airlite in Elgin as this "Barry Rabin" did, misdiagnosed the common symptoms of antidepressant discontinuation syndrome (antidepressant given by my PCP for "smoking cessation," not depression), worsened by the common adverse reactions of a "dirty" opioid and a NSAI, all prescribed by my PCP because she was paranoid of a non-existent malpractice suit because her husband, I learned later from reading my medical records, had been the "attending physician" at a "bad fix" on a broken ankle of mine, as ?. Barry Rabin's medical records did not seem to list a diagnosis. But he prescribed a neuroleptic drug immediately. But since neuroleptics don't cure the adverse effects of the antidepressants, opioids, and NSAI's. And adding a neuroleptic to an antidepressant is known to create "psychosis," via anticholinergic intoxication syndrome poisoning, this adverse drug cocktail did result in a terrifying first ever "psychosis." Rabin thought… the cure for this drug induced "psychosis" was to double the amount of the neuroleptic. I left him, because I knew Rabin's advice was insane. He recorded his mistake as a "Foul up." But he never confessed to, or made proper amends, for this "Foul up." And since I'd signed HIPPA forms, he may even have updated subsequent doctors I saw, to massively poison me, since this is what happened. Find an ethical and competent doctor instead, and since all the psychiatric DSM disorders have been declared to be scientifically invalid and unreliable by Dr. Thomas Insel, head of the NIMH, and research into them has been refunded, that means it's likely wise to avoid all psychiatrists.

pill pusher, he is not a social worker, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc. i don't know what he is. he saw me for 5 minutes for anxiety, said here is some Ativan, see you in 3 months, come back and i will give you another round of Ativan....see you in 3 months. he is a pill pusher....horrible practice as while in the waiting room i see the other doctors take patients, in and out in 5 minutes....NEXT!

Would never recommend this doctor. Not on top of patient issues. Over drugs. Poor follow-up. One of the worst.
