Dr. Barry Scanlan, DO

I love barry scanlan with all my heart he was my doctor for 20 years I consider him as my brother, friend and some one that's really cared about my well being. I miss him so much. And the staff that worked him are the best team that I know of especially Rhonda.

Dr scanlan has had more positive things said about him than any Dr I know! I worked with him for 13 years and I seen the love he has for all patients and for helping any one he can in life. He's awesome!

He has been my Doctor for over 20 years. Always caring. Best Doctor ever.

Dr. Scanlan has been my primary doctor for years now and even after I moved to a different city and state...I still make the time to travel to see him for my appointments. I don't think I could ever find another doctor who takes the time to listen and address each of my medical conditions with care and compassion. I highly recommend him and his nurse Rhonda who is a wonderful compliment to his practice.

First off, I would like to say he has been my Dr. Close to 20 years now. My story is to put into perspective a little better.... would you go on a trip to Myrtle Beach or a trip to Dubai being it were to cost the same? You would choose Dubai, I am most certain. He is the BEST Dr. In this entire region. The most thorough and pleasant Dr. I have ever known. Everyone that has ever went to him, would say the same. His nurse Rhonda, she is the BEST. They work very well together. I wanted to give him this rating and my appreciation for his 100% dedication in the medical field. This man has definitely earned every bit of all the credibility he gets publicly. Everyone loves you Barry! You are truly the best Dr. In our region. Started seeing Dr Scanlan after my doctor of over 20 yrs left the practice and didn't take my insurance... Dr. Scanlan picked up right where he left off and didn't miss a beat... Between having Ulcerative Colitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and ADD, I have a lot of specific needs and my medication has to be continuously adjusted... Some of my meds are controlled substances and he has so far I have been treated exceptionally well and his staff has been very helpful in working with me to obtain what has been required by insurance to cover the meds

Dr Scanlan is simply the best. I can talk to him about anything and he listens and takes care of business immediately!

After three missed diagnosises in a row where I had to go to urgent care or other doctors for treatment I've fired Dr. Scanlan as my doctor. He was fine if all I wanted was a 2 minute appointment for him to check my blood pressure but as soon as I had other concerns I felt like he didn't listen and was not up on women's issues. More than once I felt like he was blowing off serious medical conditions that I later had to seek treatment for elsewhere. I would not recommend him.

I had severe lower back pains for more than 18 months. After seeing a neurosurgeon and having a MRI done, dozens of appointments with two different physiotherapist and several follow up appointments, the pain was still there. I was to the point that I could barely function. I decided to get a second opinion. I knew Dr. Scanlan on a personal basis and decided to seek his opinion on my condition. After 2 weeks I was pain free. It has been more than a month now an I'm still pain free. So on my results I give this Doctor 2 thumbs up.
