Really 0 stars. I went to through the emergency emergency with excruciating stomach pains. An ultrasound to check my appendix was performed and there was NO evidence of a problem. The surgeon still went in and removed my appendix, although it was healthy. A month later I was back in the emergency room. After several days of pain control and evaluating possibilities, the decision was made to open me up and take a look. (By a different doctor) I had a ruptured meckel's diverticulum (which I know is incredibly rare for a 32 year old). They also found a bowel obstruction which required resectioning. Since then, I have had many operations and procedures (including 6 laparotomies) which would have been avoided, had Dr. Steele looked ONE inch from the appendix after he opened me up. I chose not to pursue a lawsuit, although many subsequent doctors find the episode beyond basic care.

Almost 11 years ago I suddenly was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was referred to Dr. Steele who removed my entire thyroid and one parathyroid. I am so fortunate that I was referred to him and am cancer free. He is exceptional !!

I had complete trust in this doctor. He is professional to the highest degree. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this excellent surgeon, who has superior judgement and impeccable surgical skills. Very warm bedside manner is a major plus. Hard to find a surgeon of this high caliber.
