Barry J. Veet

I do not recommend Dr.Barry J veet. Please save your children from him. My son is full term baby and passed the new born hearing test. From 7months we know something was wrong with him and did all the testing but all came back normal. Around 1.5yr I was sent to audiology and told Barry that he is not responding to his name and rest of the sound we are not sure if he is hearing or relying on clues and responding. He did the booth test and unsuccessful OAE and told orally that everything is fine with him and nothing to worry. Told the same to pediatricians and he directed me to neurologist for maybe autism. But I clearly know my son doesn’t have autism. So when I went to India vacation I wanted answers and did all test again and that’s when I found out profound bilateral hearing loss. I was shocked and digged into Barry’s notes stating unilateral hearing loss can’t be ignored at this time and need visit in 6months. We were in shock and shifted our care to CHOP and my son had his cochlear… implant asap. But if Barry veet didn’t have missed my son would have benefitted from CI long back. We are taking this legally because it’s not just us but also 2 more family who went through same problem with Barry veet and end up with Cochlear implant somewhere else.
