Dr. Barry Joseph Weckesser, MD

Unbelievable that Dr .Weckesser was evaluating my Shortness of breath issues over 2 months ..... nothing seen...hospitalized in WI immediately, aortic valve replacement, 2 stents stat. 1 week ago!

He is most through dr i have been to and he really cares about you. Great dr. And staff.

Dr Weckesser must be at least in his 80's and is way past his time to retire. He does not come to the office but a couple of short hours 2 days if that a week. No one is available after hours, Friday or weekends for any calls. He does not observe any of the testing, nor does he read the results in event there is an urgent issue. Your lucky if he reads them at your visit a month later. The young fellow who does the stress test does not know how to do that testing properly, with the machine and doesn't follow protocol. Other staff member responsible for handling the medical reports does a poor job and there is much conflict within communication of the results and diagnosis. All of these issues jeopardize ones care to get proper treatment.

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Weckesser! He ordered a serious procedure, an arteriogram of the kidneys, which after the procedure Dr. Weckesserâ??s staff discovered this procedure was meant for ANOTHER patient whose report was filed in my medical records. When he found out, he stated it had happened before and apologized by not charging for the office visit. Also, the other patient had not been informed of the needed procedure. Medicare and secondary paid twice! His staff does most of the care with him dropping in for 5 minutes. He does not stay in the room during stress tests. There are also OTHER issues with this doctor including several diagnoses in my medical records that are NOT factual! Dr. Weckesser should NOT be allowed to practice medicine.

As patient of Dr Weckesser, extremely pleased with his thoroughness in my care. Believes prevention is the best policy, fantastic staff.
