Dr. Barry J. Wendt

Dr. Wendt is great. He always spends time making sure all my questions are answered and my needs are met. Never feel rushed and always take comfort in knowing that he always seems to know what's wrong!

I recently called the office to request an emergency inhaler for a return car ride to Kentucky. The previous night I had experienced a life threatening respiratory event called bronchospasms. Not knowing what caused the event, and needing to return to home by a ten hour automobile ride, I called the office and requested an emergency inhaler to be called into a pharmacy where I was vacationing. I called on a Friday morning and never received a return call until the following Monday afternoon advising me to go to an emergency room. The apathetic response made me livid considering the importance of the request. I have been a patient in this office for over thirty years and resent highly the insensitive and apathetic response. I deserved an apology on Monday and a request to make an appointment and be checked, not a message to go to an emergency room.

This doctor (I use the title loosely) was not responsive to my needs, did not listen to my concerns and spent no time with me.

Dr Wendt was my primary physician. His average time in the room diagnosing any issues were approximately 6 minutes. He never sat down and left me with the feeling that he was in some sort of race to the next patient.I recently suffered a very bad gout attack that left me almost bed ridden and in constant pain. I was unable to work or care for my 4 foster children. Dr. Wendt prescribed prednisone to be ramped up over 5 days. The pharmacy does not have the medicine in stock and I will have to wait another day or so. Meanwhile I'm left in constant pain. I'm in fear of losing my job and have to rely on other family members to look after my children. The latter hurts more than the pain as my children have attachment issues due to the uncertain abusive situations they were rescued from.
