Dr. Bart Louis Main Jr, MD

Completely disregards patient input. Does not listen to the actual patient (the adolescent), instead, he only works with the material the parents provide. Does not build trust. Behaves as he knows more about the patient's experience with their symptoms than themselves. Does not understand different patients have different needs, and that one shoe size does not fit all. Focuses on the label too much. Extremely naive and inflexible in my opinion. Only provides basic treatment that anyone with a google search could, refuses to be openminded about alternative treatment plans. Old-fashioned and does not recognize the realistic aspects of illnesses, but only focus on the logical side of things. Out of touch with recent pharmacological knowledge. Mundane and uncreative. Doesn't seize the titanic potential, curable power of modern psychiatry.

Dr. Main spend quality time with me to diagnose and find the appropriate treatment. He is a compassionate and caring Doctor, and vey easy to get in touch with.

I've had multiple issues with the office canceling appointments with out my knowledge. It is impossible to get a receptionist on the phone or recieve a call back in a timely manner. The time spent on the initial appointment was a shocking 15-20 minutes. I'm currently in the process of switching Doctors for my son as I'm not 100% behind Dr Mains treatment/diagnosis.
