Dr. Bartley A Larsen, MD

Dr. Larsen has denied me access to have an MRI on my hand bc he deems it to be medically unnecessary to do so. I use my hands daily for my job and it’s almost impossible to work because of my situation. I’ve done much physical therapy daily and who is he to say it’s not medically necessary when he hasn’t even seen me in person. My own rheumatologist has requested an MRI for me four times. Dr. Larson seems to be the denying doctor here that tells Insurance that it’s not necessary. Unfair that he claims it’s unnecessary when he’s never seen me. How is it that Insurance gets denied from a person because the doctor who’s never assisted with a patient says so?? This is what is happening in the world of insurance, because of doctors like him. Not OK. Horrible, unprofessional way to handle things. This keeps me from making money to live. It’s my livelihood! How does one still keep a license when acting as a decision maker for someone who’s debilitated and not able to make a living? Horrible… how things are run these days and he’s part of the problem. He should be ashamed of himself. How dare he decide what is painful and what’s not, for someone else.
