It felt like he spend under two minutes with me for the office visit. I had fractured my nose. He gave a cursory look in my nose. 2 seconds maybe or less each side. He just seemed arrogant breezing in and out of the room.

Doctor had extremely bad attitude. Made my breathing condition worse. Made my nose crooked and completely denies it. Man is a joke. Stay AWAY!!!

Dr Knox is a very knowledgeable and caring Doctor. I have been is his care for the last twelve years - including cancer. I have recommended him to several friends who are very happy with him. I made my appointment and arrived 15 minutes early; had to wait over one hour to be called back. The doctor was there all of 3 or 4 minutes did not ask me any questions at all. During the exam he pulled and pushed my face around while in my mouth; then barked at me to lower my head, like I did something wrong to him. He is not kind or nice, like he dislikes people. It has been two weeks now and I still am waiting for them to call me with my next appointment for a scan. I will call today, so I'll do a follow up review.

I brought my child in to Dr. Knox and we were told that their tonsils and adenoids would need to be removed right away. He went as far to say that their airway could close up if they had another infection. He spent maybe 5 minutes with us in the first visit and another 5 minutes in the second visit. We decided not to have the procedure done and took our child to another ENT in Denver. They explained the criteria for determining whether a child needs to have the procedure and my child did not meet this criteria. Dr. Knox was uncaring and just wants to make a buck.

I was referred to Colorado Springs ENT and Allergy by my daughters pediatrician. Dr Knox had the first available appointment, so other doctors in this facility may be better. At our first visit he spent less than 5 minutes with my daughter and in that time determined she needed to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. He then told me that his MA, Alyssa, would call me to schedule an appointment. It was that fast and that simple.We knew that she would probably have to have her tonsils removed, but I find it hard to believe that after 3 minutes a doctor can determine that as well as determining her adenoids needed to be removed. He had very little history on her condition, other than me telling him her pediatrician prescribed an antibiotic and steroids and neither of those brought down the swelling. I asked him why her tonsils would suddenly swell up like that and his answer was Thats just her. Excuse me? Shes my 6 year old daughter and Im pretty certain I (as well as her… regular doctor) would have noticed her tonsils being that large (4+) before, so no she wasnt born that waysomething happened. But that was the lame answer I received from a professional.I should have followed my gut instinct at that point and walked out but I kept telling myself, shes going to have to have this done no matter what doctor we go to. Alyssa (Dr Knoxs MA) left a message a couple of days later to schedule the procedure. I called her back and she wasnt there, and as a matter of fact they are rarely in the office and it is next to impossible to get in touch with them. She returned my call indicating a possible date for the surgery and then I attempted 3 more times that week to contact her, leaving a message each time and never receiving a call back. Then finally after leaving a couple of furious messages one day I got a call back and scheduled the surgery.When we went in for the pre-op appointment, again it was maybe a 5 minute visit and I signed a consent form but the doctor didnt go over any of the procedure or discuss much other than the time of the surgery and to be there an hour early. The day before the surgery I called my insurance company to find out what my out of pocket cost would be and discovered the MA and the doctors office never called my insurance to get a pre-authorization for the surgery and never notified me that the clinic they were doing the surgery at was out of network! We cancelled the surgery at that point. This is the most uncaring and unorganized doctor/office I have ever experienced.

Dr. Knox's diagnostic, surgical, and followup skills may have saved my life . . . twice. I'd had a botched surgery and had seen several other ENTs about the return of symptoms and horrible misery before my visit with him, which resulted in corrective surgery and ongoing followup care.
