Dr. Barton Lewis Sachs, MD

He's a very nice guy however, I was explaining my back pain and he was basically like "well if you have a slanted a back but its not a problem" I thought that was weird considering I would have thought he would give some advice on how to avoid the pain.

If you are considering using Dr. Sachs you MUST read this! I had a serious spine injury which caused me to be unable to sit, stand or walk. I required medical transport to get to my doctor visit. I saw Dr. Sachs on a Thursday and had surgery the following Tuesday. Now 10 days later I am standing and walking. Dr. Sachs has an amazing combination of skill and experience which produced a great outcome for me! I know that it is a very difficult decision to have back surgery. That decision can be made more confidently knowing that this doctor has 40 years of experience and is helping train future generations of spine surgeons. I can't thank Dr. Sachs enough for giving me my life back!

Dr. Sachs seems to have a bias against chronic pain patients. Would give him no stars if possible. If you have pain - stay away from this man. He misdiagnosed me and looks like I am not the first person who has had problems with him.

Negative feedback is blocked and cannot notify you. I cannot Report Abuse without getting errors. What's the use of using a site like this? It's not honest or accurate! Funny, it is very difficult to post this information. The submit button does not come up directly. If you click a low star rating and then type the Title and Comments, you will never see the "submit" button. Only when I click on my star rating again will it allow me to submit this? I'm not sure if it's dishonesty or bad web design. The end result is, the proper story isn't being told about these doctors and dishonest and unidentified 5 star posts are added in the midst all 1 and 2 stars! Bogus!

ARROGANT RUDE DOESN'T look at your MRI nor medical records and gives excuses WHY you needed stays when you have a new MRI.!! I filled out a survey after my second opinion going to this hateful man but I doubt he'll be taken up in front of the disciplinary board. Accused you of drug seeking IN SPITE of gabibg your list of medications yourr taking .... It's pretty bad when anonymous employees wish I would do something about him... ( Office medical staff security are excellent people. This man will reap what he's down one day. He even out something in my digital chart that is unbelievable... DO NOT see him as a first appointment. You'll regret it.

Excellent staff medical assistants nurses even security guard This is THE worst dr I have EVER seen shockingly read the review and gasped of the person suing this HATEFUL dr said his attorney told him 'all ch complaints were purged from his medical records" ! Do you have any idea how unethical that is ?! He accusees you of drug seeking , gives you an interrogation ' why'd you leave that dr , what's did youdo nineteen ( surgeries) told me NOTHING about the MRI I brought with me , did an unnessary XRay... The MOST unprofessional sarcastic and accusatory dr I've ever seen. GET SOMEONE NOT GIVING HIM 5 STARS BECAUSEIT ISN'T TRUE..HES A HORRIBLDR I WENT to for asend pinion Now I don'ttrust ANY of them !

Visited Dr. Sachs due to a back injury - fall on stairs. He was so rude - took an inhouse xray and said he could not tell much due to the size of the patient. Informed him of previous fracture of L4-L5 - he was totally unconcerned, and proceeded to give referrals for weight loss, physical therapy and a few others. I was not there for a physical but an ACUTE injury, and was sent home with no treatment. He acted like I was after pain medication. He never even examined me. I had to insist on an MRI, which he took days to approve, meanwhile still in pain and do not know if there is a fracture or not. He also wrote some lies in my chart. STAY AWAY!!!! He is supposed to be the department head. Cannot fathom how that happened.

I have worked with many drs in my time. I was so embarrassed by wasting my time by seeing sachs. He was worthless and he is known to screw up on surgries. Needs to move to California.
