Dr. Barton Lewis Schneyer, MD

The doctor actually listened to my concerns and spent more time with me than any other doctor ever has. He treated my condition and i finally had some relief. What a wonderful physician.

The best, the kindest doctor. Took the time needed and didn’t rush me. My condition was unusual but he diagnosed it when no other doctor could. The staff is also kind.

This doctor is kind and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Took the time needed to help me with my disease and proper medication.

Never had such a BAD Overall office Experience. Saw him once, VIRTUAL Visit. They just keep You coming back, so they can Charge you, over-and-over again. Secretary with accent, actually lied-to-Me, so I would come in for, I think My 5th. visit. I needed med's, still didn't get anything for My ASTHMA. She told Me I had C.O.P.D., and I would get med's this time. Now they want Me to pay for a visit, that I didn't make. Don't go here, You will Most DEFINITELY Regret it.

He could care less about his patients and never knows what is going on with your disease or who you are (even after a year). Is never at his practice-only virtual meetings while he hangs in Jersey. I've never written a review of a doctor before. You're just as well-off reading your own reports and googling what they mean...or you can wait a month for him to maybe remember to meet you over Zoom--you still have to go to the office and he'll read the biopsy/scan reports at the time and have no idea what the last thing he ordered was and order the same stuff he ordered before but forgot he ordered. Possible lung cancer-- takes several months to let you know you should probably see someone else. A thing he could do over the phone from Jersey in a week.

Unnecessary visits, has bad memory

When I first started seeing Dr. Schneyer I liked him, however during a visit he made a comment about my spouse as a joke, but it backfired on him. I saw him for sleep apnea and he ask about my snoring then ask if my husband was half deaf, and well YES he is completely deaf in one ear. He was born that way. Then his office staff started changing everytime I went in and they were RUDE. Then I received a bill (just before hurricane Florence), it wasn't much, but when I called to find out what it was for since I had never received a bill in the two years that I had been seeing him, the office staff could not tell me. They gave me a number to call, which I did and left a message but never received a call back. Then I received another bill that was 5 times more than the original bill even though I had not been in for a visit. Then today I received a letter saying that he would no longer be my doctor. Well that is fine and dandy since I have a primary physician and his office staff… are so rude to patients.

This doctor has the worst bedside manner I've even encountered. Never on time and never apologetic. I always had the impression he felt he was doing me a favor by seeing me. Organization and management of his office is unprofessional and sloppy. He may be good a what he does but you can definitely find an equally competent doctor who will treat you with more care and compassion. I won't be returning to this doctor.

Thorough and efficient-very pleased with exam and diagnosis. Does not want unsolicited info from patient. Friendly but in control personality. Does not waste your time is always on time of appointment.

I moved to NC from NJ and was referred to Dr. Schneyer in Southport NC to monitor lung condition. I am so happy with the care and concern shown me by Dr. Schneyer and his staff. I have been a patient of his for more than two years now and he has my full confidence.
