Dr. Barton Smith Wood, MD

I meet Dr Wood for the first time yesterday because of a stay at Grand View hospital with lower bowel obstruction and we was awesome. His bed side was right on and he spent time with me plus he got me out of the hospital quick. I will definitely use again and tell friends about him.

Dr wood is an excellent surgeon. He is very thorough and meticulous. It's a little hard understanding him because he talks so fast and long, and it's hard to get a question in. But he explains things so well, nearly all questions are answered anyway. He does excellent surgery &his accessible whenever needed.

My father was admitted to the hospital and needed to see a surgeon. I'm so thankful Dr Wood was on call. He rounded on a Sunday night and spent time explaining the procedure to my father. I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Wood after his surgery. I've been a nurse since 1998 and worked in the ER, CCU and med-surg. I have to say he went above and beyond for my dad and has the best bedside manner. I will always be grateful for him. I highly recommend him for your loved one.

He was going to remove two large lumps. A second opinion said no need.

Dr. Wood performed surgery on my daughter and he was great. His beside manner was excellent and his skills as a surgeon made my daughter's surgery a success. He was caring and I would highly recommend him.
