Dr. Basel Hamzeh, MD

Dr. Basel Hamzeh is a a very extremely rude and unprofessional pediatrician. I have had many instances of mistreatment, lack of response, care, bedside manners and unprofessionalism on several instances. After this most recent situation, I can not take any further disrespect from him and I will be changing my son's doctor ASAP. His behavior is almost irate, jittery, not calm and collective. He is always rushing the appointments and his consideration is non existent. He is very short with communication and follow-ups. My son had been bitten by a dog less then 48 hours before his follow-up apt, When I wanted to address this with Hamzeh, he went ballistic and stated " We dont do that here, this appointment is for a follow-up, you should have went to ER right away" etc. He refused to address the situation and made me go to ER when the issue could've been addressed at my son's visit (Per the ER's doctors assessment and conclusion). He had a medical student training with him, She was also… very rude and replicated his same spirit and demeanor. As a result, I am charged an emergency fee/bills and further inconvenienced in being forced to go to ER because his PCP refused to do his job as a doctor. Dr. Hamzeh jumped to conclusions saying that he needed a tetanus shot without even verifying that his immunization records were already up to date and he had that vaccine. Dr. Hamzeh was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful when I made a simple request to fill out the sports physical form for my son, he wanted me to schedule another appointment to come back just for a signature. I have never felt so mortified and humiliated and this all happened in front of my Son. Dr. Hamzeh is not qualified or capable nor does he have the sensitivity to work with other humans. He is VERYVERY VERY rude and should not be allowed to see other children as patients, in fact he should only work behind the scenes and is a disgrace to anyone who has the true passion to serve in medicine, I strongly admonish ANYONE and EVRYONE to steer clear away from this doctor and anyone he has trained. It is very unfortunate that people like this exist. I am beyond thankful and grateful to the nursing and administrative staff that works in suite 270 in professional bldg 2, where Hamzeh operates. It is because of them that I always have what I needed, they are professional kind and have been more thorough then Dr. Hamzeh could ever imagine to be. They are professional and good people, I am thankful to the nurse that was able to provide clarity and direction in the midst of Hamzed having an irate tantrum. She was the one that verified shot records, gave me a copy. I had to make the assumption that Hamzeh maybe meant rabies vaccine vs. tetanus shot. I was confused and unsure of how to get my son treated as a result of his lack of care. I called around to other urgent care centers to see if maybe they could treat my son or have a better answer, before going to the ER to have my insurance billed unnecessarily. I can't stress enough that he needs to be disciplined and barred from medicine.

I absolutely Love Dr. Hamzeh he's been all three of my children pediatrician since birth and my oldest will be 17 this year awesome person.
