Dr Bashar K. Ahmed, MD

Not really a doctor of pain management but an enforcer of MME "guidelines" too afraid to help a patient. Maybe another specialty would be better

We can feel terribly alone with severe chronic pain when it's intractable. Both Dr. Ramchandani and Dr. Ahmed, at Redwood Pain Institute have been incredibly present, aware and responsive. We have the pain under control, and tweaks in the device (intrathecal pump) are happen with ease. Dr. Ahmed has gone out of his way to provide help on other pain issues, such as a torn shoulder, a tweaky neck. Sometimes the staff in the front office can be difficult to get a hold of. I suspect this has become more the norm than the exception throughout medical care. But, hang in there b/c both of these pain physicians are outstanding medically and humanly, providing geniune empathetic care.
