Dr. Bashir M Ulvi, MD

Saw Dr Ulvi for a consult. He was very nice and took his time. He answered all my questions. He addresses your overall health not just what you're there for cosmetic surgery to give you the best overall outcome.

I have discovered a tiny lump in my breast, I have. Implants have had them for 23 years. No problems. I only checked out this Dr in this site, (since he doesn't take my insurance) per the suggestion of the girls in his office as he shares space with my gen practitioner. Thank GOD this site is here and others have reviewed him, I've seen him in the office, he seemed standoffish, my little lump needs to go, but by someone who cares and will be careful not to mess up what I already have. (i can't live with the lump as in my family's. History they don't stop growing). Had I not seen this site I may have actually just paid cash for the surgery and not used my insurance at all as I trusted the office girls, (not sure why) they have never had a sugery like this, I only get 1 shot at doing this right. I got my augmentation in '01. I was really young and didn't research doctors, I just rushed into it. Was a small B, was 5'4", 130 lbs. I got 420cc's saline overs per my Dr's advice. Breasts were not symmetrical and was having some dull pains by incision on right side and could feel something like a corner of the implant there. Complained for months, dr blew it off for a while then finally agreed to redo them. one year later, I was on the operating table again. They were replaced and I was a bit happier, as time went by, rippling appeared (should have gone under!!) and with recent weight loss, I am down to just skin over the implant. I am getting them redone next month (long overdue) to silicone, and under.

He was kind, and caring, however, I had bad results on my surgery. I had breast augmentation done in 2005, and they are misshapen and I have been in a good deal of pain for the past 7 years. I confronted him at my post op about my issues (pain and being misshapen), and he simply stated "just don't look too hard at them" !!!!

I am writing this review based on my personal experience. I saw Dr. Ulvi for a consultation. He did all the necessary check up. After the check up I asked him some questions. I am not a doctor nor do I know much about the inside of the human body so naturally I had to ask questions. He was very rude to me and he acted as if I were wasting his time. He was disrespectful and said some things that hurt my feelings. There are hundreds of better doctors than Dr. Ulvi. Save your time. Maintain your healthy self image by NOT seeing Dr. Ulvi. I do not recommend Dr Ulvi at all.
