Dr. Beatriz Liliana Villafane, MD

I have been paciente from Dr Villafane. had a great experience with Dr. Villafane, From the moment I walked in back in 2019, I was greeted warmly by the staff. Dr Villafane was attentive, compassionate, and took the time to listen to my concerns. Their expertise and professionalism put me at ease during my first visit and I still receiving treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Villafane to anyone in need of a skilled and caring.

I had to intervene to save a friend who was a patient of dr Villafane. She recklessly over medicated , ignored concerns, did not follow up with records, improperly diagnosed, prescribed medications that contradict safe prescribing regulation. Her teenage son works at the desk is not competent to work in a professional environment. Only seconds after dr villafanes closed the door to her office he refused to let us ask the dr clarify her medication instructions. He told us that once her door closes we have to make another appointment to speak to her and could not give any information on the new prescription we were just handed, then he returned to playing video games and listening to music behind the counter.. You can never reach dr villafane on the phone no matter what. She will only speak to anyone if they are in an office appointment. Other people have posted similar experiences with this dr. I would not advise anyone to use her , it is simply not safe.

She abandoned my 15 year old son that was under her care. He was admitted to the psych ward at memorial regional hospital after an incident that occurred while he was on the Prozac that she had prescribed for him. The staff, myself as well as the psychologist that he was seeing attempted to contact her so she could visit the hospital and evaluate him. She never made any attempt to contact the hospital, myself or the psychologist who referred us to her. Even after my son was released, she did not contact us to check on him. Her office contacted us to confirm an appointment we had made before he ended up in the hospital. We changed doctors immediately and are extremely happy with the care he is recieving. She is inexperienced, negligent and should not be practicing in any capcity as a physian.
