His goal has always been to help improve mental health and assist his patients to regain control of their lives, academic performance, relationships, and overall mental well-being.He specializes in substance use, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, Bipolar disorders and more. Along with earning his medical degree, Dr. Abdelmalak has a deep knowledge in pharmacy as he attended Pharmacy School in Egypt. He has also accomplished a Masters in Psychopharmacology.Dr. Abdelmalak is currently in charge of an inpatient psychiatric unit and the supervising attending of the outpatient substance use clinic at Metropolitan hospital center.He is also a Psychiatric Emergency department supervisor who was nominated the supervisor of the year on more than one occasion. He is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
